Not as long now as it was. Blizzard reduced the number of quests required in each zone, but it’s still going to be time consuming to do on one character. Especially if you haven’t been keeping up with it since the beginning. I earned it back in Cata, and since then I’ve just kept doing it for each expansion. Obviously for the last two it’s part of their pathfinder achievements to earn flying. Good luck and have fun op!

I hit a road block in Northrend. Zul’Drak broke my soul. Maybe one day I revisit the idea.

Good luck on your journey! I for one can’t stomach the idea but if your jam then do what you enjoy.

I looooove how they keep moving the goalposts on that title. Every expansion they make it harder to get.

Was much harder 9 or 10 years ago then it is now.

Well, which is it?

Yes.

Well you don’t need to do them all on 1 char, progress will count from multiple alts.

You’re already done with the Eastern Kingdoms, for starters;

Ah, yes Loremaster.

A madman’s pursuit. Took me 6 months, and did it before they put up the exclamation points in the map to make questing easier. It was basically dealing with tons of ingame bugs, lost quest trajectories, and a few GM tickets to complete mine.

I started the run with the same mentality as you - bored in the middle of Nighthold raid tier, kinda wanted something else to do and my friends had quit (they did come back for late Legion, but BFA drove them away permanently).

It took an incredible amount of patience, and the journey took 6 months and was really fun. I don’t even wear my title anymore, I much prefer my pvp titles on my toons, but it was a great personal achievement for me nonetheless for a game I love so much and hate the path it’s gone down. To me, loremaster was an attempt to relive the glory days when things were better.

I wish you good luck on the road, take plenty of breaks, and give it time.

I really wanted to like that zone, but it just ended up annoying me.

What breaks people’s motivation, including mine, is trying to rush it. Believe me, this break you are taking will put you in a positive mindset to go and complete it later. Northrend was definitely super annoying, but Icecrown (before they put up exclamations as quest markers) was the hardest and most annoying zone in WotLK for me.

3 areas in Pandaria left for that Achievement to be completed.

Sounds like alot of fun.

Oh man you must be really bored… I couldn’t work on that title, it requires too much questing.

I’m actually in the middle of doing Loremaster on my Alliance main. I’ve got EK/Kalimdor, BC, Wrath, Cataclysm, and Pandaria. He’s in Draenor right now. It helps that I had never done anything after Cataclysm so Pandaria and forward is all new content to me.

I’m having a great time. That said, I absolutely LOVE questing, so it doesn’t bother me.

Doubtful, but if they release another allied race I want level, I might be compelled to go there. But if I’m being honest, i hate leveling so I’ll just follow the sugested route from AAP.

I just did every single quest while leveling up since vanilla. Had to redo some zones when Cata changed the quest IDs but it’s easier to do them all at higher level.

Kill quests are one-shots. Gather quests are easy with no mobs bothering you. Flying helps too but loremaster is doable on foot.

You may learn more of the stories and get some unique quest rewards you can wear or use (like mog your staff to a board with a nail - that’s funny looking).

Take your time and have fun with it, OP.

I’m also doing loremaster while i level the AR races i need the heritage armor on. You can do it across multiple characters. Level 2 characters all in zones you haven’t completed yet and it shouldn’t be too bad. Bonus if you don’t have some of the classes leveled as of yet.
