When people were telling Ovi that he wasn’t going to win anything, he didn’t give up and won a cup in his 30s after over a decade of being told he’s a 1 trick pony.

Probably sucked for the goalie he scored on though. Glad it wasn’t against my team!

The scoring title belongs to a winger, the position that is actually most dedicated to scoring.
That a center had it for so long despite it not being his primary role on the team was weird. Like if a QB held the all time rushing TD record.
Gretzky was just that insanely dominant. He had the scoring record while also having more assists than anyone else has total points, in like 300-400 less games played. His assists record is close to double everyone else’s. You could just zero out all his goals and he STILL has the most points of anyone to play the game.
The fact anyone is touching any of his records is almost unbelievable, but compared to his playmaking ability, his scoring was almost just icing on the cake, which is almost unbelievable considering (until yesterday), he was also the best at that too
