They nerfed mana regen, but we still get the refund for casting living flame on enemy targets.
Are you just spamming self heals? Or is your mana just not being refunded.
I haven’t played Dev yet (I’m testing Aug), but in the little pvp that I’ve done there are occasions in which I’ve won just by stopping to heal myself or assist allies with healing, if that has been diminished it’s a very bad news XD
must be self healing with living flame. thats the only way I can see you going OOM, as another poster said you get mana refund when you cast living flame on enemy targets. but the real cost of living flame is way higher then one might expect. its the same for all hybrid specs now. We are not allowed to just self heal for days.
For example, Living flame’s (real) cost is 30k mana, evoker only has 250k mana pool. when you cast it on an enemy you are refunded 85% (25.5k) mana via a passive called Energizing Flame. The net expenditure in that case is 4.5k mana per cast. With mana regen you are never really going to OOM when doing a rotation.
Now, if you spend that mana on self heals or spot healing via Living Flame you are expending the full 30k mana per cast. On top of that ,mana regen is slower after self heals to help combat dps classes who can vs dps classes who cant. At most you will get 8-9 healing living flames with a full mana bar. again max mana pool is fixed at 250k.

They made the mana regen change to limit off-healing capabilities. They said it was too powerful in both pvp and pve.
You should be fine if you’re doing basic rotation stuff.
Ok, is not only a OOM thing, It seems to me that I heal less and I have to spam more heal than before. So either our healing was reduced somehow or several classes have taken a substantial damage boost.

Evoker is the worst caster in the game period. On my ret its a free hk
