This is one of the reasons my sister and I enjoy the game too. We like that feeling of being able to learn a fight without having addons yelling at us because they’re required. We often go into the new raids the hour the server comes up, just for fun. Go to Party Finder, find a group, and then die and laugh together for a few hours.
I been blocking ads at the router level since 2011, so I don’t know what modern advertising looks like for the most part. If someone gets an ad through to me I send their parent company an angry letter.
When I need something, first I research who are the most objective and independent reviewers in the related field, then I look at their opinions on what is the best price/performance option. I don’t want to know what a company thinks of their own product, it is not possible for that to be accurate.
Don’t go to any of those sites (or the internet in general) without No Script, Adblock Plus and ublock Origin. Every website has 3rd party ads running and it’s not safe. Period. It’s easy enough to download these from whichever browser that you use (they will be listed in addons) and will take less than 5 minutes to do. Especially on gaming sites, those ads are the WORST and you put your computer at risk without using them.
Blizzard went to TOWN on these people. Two buddies of mine provided pilots and their main accounts got banned, which is insane to me that your WoW account can be banned for logging onto someone else’s.
I always find it shocking that people don’t use adblockers.
I would also find it shocking if I met someone who talked about how they store nails and gravel in their underwear, but that thankfully seems much less common.
