This is not a prequel to Shin Godzilla or its part of the Monsterverse this another Toho Godzilla film and this film is set in a post-war Japan, Godzilla Minus One will once again show us a Godzilla that is a terrifying and overwhelming force.
This move is coming out on November 3rd aka Godzilla day and it be release to US Dec 1st of this year.

Looks like a slightly spikier Heisei era one. The one with the almost kitty face and pointy ears from the 90s. ( technically 80s cuz of Godzilla 1985 but that one had two different heads for some shots. Once the 80s film happened they sorta tweaked the design from that point onwards )
I still wanna see the Legendary Godzilla and a Toho Godzilla fight. I know Toho approves of our new Godzilla so I just wanna watch them brawl lol
Most complaints about his design was that it was the look from Ride in Japan.
The same director who is doing this movie has done the ride version of Godzilla. So I have full confidence that this film will be a good one
I still love Godzilla no matter what design he has. Yes even the wonky old suits from ages ago.
