God there is no way dev evoker is ok

if any pvp developer play any melee and fight a dev evoker, they will realize this needs some fix

i mean maybe they r fine in arenas idk i dont do them

but in bg? its dumb… u get CC 500 times, while spriests hunters warlocks boomkins etc stand out of harms way and top damage by miles

evoker burst is nuts and hover uptime is nuts. i have lots of dumb goons try to chase me in bg blitz and they never catch me , its funny watching them tunnel me, chase ma and their hp drops until they die. they outrun their healers so hard just to chase that dragon

Sylvanas was most likable in wc, when she was outsmarting people 10x more powerful than her. Then she became a badly written villian bc they were running out of horde figureheads to kill.

P sure hover freedom should only last like 4s and deep breath should only reset 1 charge in pvp.

People saying stuff like this are wack. First of all, it isn’t a freedom; it doesn’t immune roots, which are a CC that disable major defensive/mobility CDs in Rescue/Verdant.

Second, did you not play DF, where Devastation was C-tier most of the time, and automatically the kill target in every match? No one was whining about Unburdened Flight then.

None of this is true, devastation was solid all of dragonflight and is extremely hard to kill when piloted well and paired with a class that stuns for it.

Also, since then, it’s gotten a 10% stronger wall, damage buffs, and the ability to reset both hover charges on a 1 minute cd.

The spec is entirely different now, because it USED to have punishable gaps where it would run out of hovers and defensives, which it no longer does.

It had about one comp people played it in then for a reason. And it was a gimmick comp.

Unburdened Flight, in and of itself, is and has been fine. Change it, and the class needs 40yd range.

I personally think hover uptime was perfect last xpac. However with every new expansion there is mobility creep and it’s hard to say if that would still be the case now without a little extra.

I agree with this and I swear it’s how it worked on beta I thought (or I’m just fried). Resetting 2 charges is too much imo.

Correct. However I will also say if teammates help cc the Dev during hover (roots/stuns) it makes it very difficult for them and they will have to burn through charges pretty quickly. Dev also really struggles into most casters and especially sub rogue (even Saul has stated this when talking about the spec).

People got r1 as dev playing with fdk, feral, outlaw & sub rogue, dh, survival hunter, and arcane mage. Which one of these are you referring to?

It was, but then they got resettable 2 charges on a 1 minute cd giving it basically 100% uptime on it. So it is no longer fine.

Then the issue at hand isn’t Unburdened Flight at all, but rather Slipstream, which could be reduced by one.

Melee uptime has crept its way up this expansion, like every other. In past topics like this I literally listed out every single mobility creep melee specs got this expansion, which they’re loath to bring up in these topics. Slipstream resetting one Hover would be fine and in-line with other specs’ gains.

The fact that melee are whining so loudly about one spec being about to kite them now, after they’ve had high/perma uptime on most casters for years now, never ceases to be rich though. What has always been their response to casters’ complaints about DK’s toxically anti-caster kit? Oh yeah, “they’re just anti-caster.” Ironic.

I disagree. Pseudo immunity vs most melee and the ability to run and chase with impunity for the full duration of hover is too hard of a counter to classes that don’t have tools to deal with it.

Limit hover reset to 1 charge
Remove 80% snare talent (along with similar snares from other classes, like DK chains)
Deep breath cooldown reduction procs should be less effective in PvP

These would be healthy nerfs

Also making Flameshaper better with actual cool visuals and mechanics would be nice (but that requires class design WORK)

There isn’t a melee that can even come close to having uptime on them though and not to mention they do a million dps
