God the narrative is so trite, I am embarrased

Seriously THIS IS QUITE LITERALLY A BEAT FOR BEAT REMAKE OF MOP. The amount of lying you did through your teeth in the build up to BFA regarding story is nearing almost unimaginably high levels.

The warchief is the villain

The horde is evil /twirls mustache

the horde is losing the war

the horde is having in fighting between its leaders with one in particular leading the others

The alliance are the indisputable good guys with absolutely nothing to even remotely shake that

Seriously this is so boring and trite and unoriginal. The only and I mean ONLY way this could possibly redeem itself is if this entire thing is one giant bait and switch in which slyvannas stays warchief and is somehow vindicated and doesn’t end up being overthrown. I Just don’t have any faith in the writing of wow being that clever because this entire xpac has been so hilariously by the book boring that I am straight embarrassed for the narrative right now.

You forgot Anduin is secretly after the McGuffin that will help to fully destabilize the Horde and allow the revolution to be possible.

Faction War is honestly played out at this point. I’m hoping all these systems they’re experimenting with like the choice systems and Warmode will eventually allow us to just opt out entirely.

The Alliance haven’t been the good guys, they’ve been just as bloodthirsty as Sylvanas, Sylvanas somewhat started it, but the Zandalari and Vulpera would see them as aggressors.

Anduin is probably the only Alliance member who is actually trying to be diplomatic about going after Sylvanas. He’s getting ignored though.

This story line is worse than Boring shore. How is this possible?

The story is wonderful what are you say–
/looks at horde’s horde story
oh.

Yup and they will get away with it by justifying that the end boss is not Sylvannas but some other character.

Anduin is much less of an aggressor than Sylvanas Windrunner is, though. Also he’s more interesting but let’s not open THAT wound…

I corrected myself, he’s probably the only sane member not so revenge crazed for blood.

I respect him, but I want Jaina hypocritemore dead.

That would make even less sense than the current direction of writing and would be even worse.

Just let them MoP 2.0 so that it can end already and we can move on to the next big bad.

I’m so sick of Jaina. She can raise a ship that can fly and blast a hole into Undercity’s wall. 25 of the Horde finest beating the crap out of her and she just walks away. Even Dadgar wasn’t this annoying.

Hey Blizz, why don’t you just dust off Me’dan and have him and Jaina marry so they can birth Superman. You can have him kill the rest of our faction leaders for eating kittens.

To be fair, Jaina and Dadgar both are next level powerful mages.

I imagine nobody even touched Jaina in the lore. We certainly weren’t actually smacking her in the face with hammers and what-not because that’d be a dead mage.

Blizzard just needs to utilize their characters better.

I am waiting for the big twist where Sylvanas actually kills off all the living.

Yeah, that’s an excellent point.

I can’t believe some people defend this writing.

FTFTFY

(Yes, I’m a Horde mole…)

This game needs a third faction to mix things up. An evil faction hellbent on destruction would be a good start.

Yeah, Death faction would be the obvious choice

She’s an example of bad writing, she’s a literal Mary-Sue, even Sylvanas has a well written backstory and has some members of her own faction against her.

Yeah, you’re exactly right. She’s so powerful now that there’s no point in us being around. Sargeras comes back? Jaina can solo him.
