Goblins in Shadowlands?

Kind of a random thought, but I haven’t seen any goblins in Shadowlands yet, though I haven’t looked too far into it.

Are there goblin NPCs in Shadowlands? There’s never been an expansion or Warcraft game since WC2 without Goblin NPCs.

Has anyone seen any?

I imagine there might be a bunch of generic DKs running around, but while they show most races as generic DKs now, I don’t think there’s ever been a goblin DK shown. Worgen either, though they can appear as troops on the order hall menu, they won’t appear in game.

They bargained their way out.

(Humor): Goblins who make a lot of money in life end up in the Divine Treasury, while those who die poor end up in the Vault of Eternal Destitution.

(Commentary): To be serious for a moment, I don’t have beta access so I’ve had no chance to look. I can’t say I’ve seen anything specifically in data-mining yet either, sorry.

Reminds me of Maximo ghosts to glory on the PS2 where if you died and lost all of your lives you could slip death a tenner and come back to life.

Since you can’t take your money with you when dying, it is common knowledge.
Goblins skip Shadowlands unfortunately…

I haven’t seen any named goblin NPCs yet in the Shadowlands, and I’ve been keeping an eye out for them since they’re one of my favorite races, along with gnomes and dwarves. It was nice to see some goblin development with Gazlowe during the 8.2 patch and heritage armor quest, but I’m hoping to see their story continue. I’m surprised the goblins haven’t sent representatives to the Brokers, since it seems like they’d be interested in trading for rare and valuable goods and technology.

I haven’t seen any named dwarf NPCs either, and the only gnomes I’ve come across are Milhouse and Milificent Manastorm in De Other Side dungeon. I’m hoping we might visit other realms in later patches that address these races’ themes and lore. A goblin afterlife could be wild and fun (perhaps as a more lighthearted zone paired with a more “serious” zone). Or there could be something like a whimsical Eternal Workshop realm populated by various Azerothian and non-Azerothian races. We don’t really know much about goblins’ or gnomes’ early history or ancestors, so it could be fun to meet some new characters in the Shadowlands.

I’ve seen a couple goblins as randomized aspirant souls in Bastion and imprisoned souls in the Maw.

Edit: Gazlowe shows up for the intro but he doesn’t go into the Shadowlands himself.

That’s actually pretty much what I was going to say. There’s supposedly infinite realms maybe they all go to some capitalist paradise.

Just how bad was their trauma in life that the Arbiter deemed it necessary that they become Kyrians?

(Confession): Unit Exacitor was referencing the Ferengi Afterlives from Star Trek. The Divine Treasury and Vault of Eternal Destitution are where they believe they go based on the accounts of their lives.

Oh. Yeah that sounds pretty right from the little I’ve seen of them.

The only Gnomes I’ve seen mentioned so far have been Milhouse and Millificent Manastorm as bosses in De Other Side, which has a Mechagon wing.

Now I think back to that “leak” in which Gallywix teams up with Mechatorque in order to create an invention that gets us back and forth from the Shadowlands, along with a Tinker class, and I’m realizing that it could have been a cool chance to give these races some more relevance in Shadowlands.
