What is your preference?
Obvs, mechagnome.
Goblin. You can’t argue with the Lore of crazy inventions. Whereas Vulpera… ? What did they invent?
Goblin vendor discounts also save a ton of gold considering engineering is such a gold sink and gobbles mats like crazy.
Why not both? You can never have too many alts… also I have one of each.
That is my dilemma. To me Goblin is more the engineering side and Vulpera is more the hunter side.

Goblin. Foxes are only good to be camped as alliance.
I’m torn. There is a distinct engineering fantasy for Goblins, but Vulpera have a different kind of engineering fantasy, particularly salvage.
While there is an entire pet family that appeals to the Goblin fantasy, they are exclusively tenacity. Thats ok. My dwarf runs with his gryphon exclusively and I dont feel like it holds me back in the level of content I do. But for the goblin/hunter overlap I feel like the fantasy is limited to a marksmanship rifleman theme, with some possibility for mechanical beastmaster. Thogar’s control rod makes a good SV mog so if you want a mad bomber theme, that works too.
Female Goblins look quite a bit better than male goblins, and for some reason, I find them more believable as characters of various classes… that’s just me. Also, goblins have the most entertaining stealth animation.
Vulpera have better looking models on the same skeleton. Gear looks better on them. The snout is smaller and the posture is better than any other beast race and so helms and shoulders and chest pieces look better almost as a rule (compared to the other beast races. Being a beast race, a lot of hunter, savage-themed mogs seem more fitting than they do for goblins. Also, the feet of Vulpera hide most mickey mouse boot mogs that are so prevalent today, without hiding or distorting some of the really cool shin features of those same mogs. Goblin feet are ridiculous, but that’s subjective.
Vulpera are engineers. They have their own engineering style, everyone does. The engineering profession should represent that better, but for RP purposes, there is no reason to discredit them. They build wagons for caravans out of salvaged and discarded scraps found in a desert wasteland, and they survive and thrive. They just arent known for the military application of their work.
Aren’t Vulpera depicted as really good at fixing things. They’re like anti-goblins for tech in that they can refurbish almost anything rather than, like, make anything as long as it blows up at the end
