So I’ve been pondering changing to Goblin for the longest time because I’m tired of being a cow, but I also don’t know if losing the 2% increased crit healing is worth losing to the 1% haste. Just so we can knock the “just play what race you want to” “race is such a small matter”, I like to min-max where I can a bit.
Orcs have blood rage which increases ap and sp. Or troll with their own bloodlust racial

I can’t speak true to the min max but I’m sure that is a salvageable change in stats from gear. Perhaps consideration in if you are doing Mythic stuff or PvP stuff is where we should look in if crit over haste is to be considered. But we are mostly tossing riptides and surges or chain heals while keeping flame shocks up right? I think haste might let us fit spells into the rotation better?
Personally I couldn’t leave warstomp but the I think Goblin has a racial that lets them jet jump? It could be useful for mobility. I always wished I had a highmountain tauren shaman so I can charge and knock down while splashing water.
People really like the goblin jump for mythic plus

For what it’s worth - most high end guilds have switched to goblin.
Limit and echo employed goblin priests.
Maevey (limit resto shaman) is a goblin.
The rocket boost is in a single word: amazing.
It’s effectively like gaining a blink… as a non mage class.
It has saved me so many times in both mythic+ and raiding. The extra mobility is fantastic. and it has a super short CD.
I used to be zandalarian. Race changed to goblin and never looked back.
I would personally argue extra mobility > 1% extra stat.
Edit for clarification - the rocket boost isn’t exactly like a blink as it doesn’t make you immune to damage. But being able to move forward is still huge and helps nullify tons of mechanics
Also keeps from taking fall damage if i remember correctly that you can rocket jump just before you hit ground.

I do not know if i would have been able to leave the extra gold from Zandalari behind. I would have probably gone with the loa’s blessing that is a dot and just kept that extra damage and extra money from being Zandalari
