I dropped the quest Goblin Engineering where you pick up in stormwind to get the manual for Goblin Engineering. Now the quest is completely gone! Ive gone all over the place looking for it. I contacted support and all they did was send me to wowhead. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

GMs are not allowed to provide hints or clues on quests or how to complete objectives.

I think also that you need to check in Ironforge, not Stormwind for the quests. They should be in gnome area in front of the trams.

I’ve gone to Stormwind, ironforge, ratchet, tanaris to all the NPC that would give this quest, the quest gone! I don’t need help completing it I need help finding it again. It’s not there anymore. I read this was a bug long ago and you had to relearn engi. Is this STILL A BUG

Make sure put on low level quest tracking. The npc is in iron forge right outside the tram

Not there either Just checked for the 4th time. I have a feeling Im going to have to relearn engi

What version of WOW are you currently on Classic ERA, TBC, Pandaria, Retail?

Not sure if you have tried this, but my research shows (haven’t tried it myself)

  1. Unlearn Engineering
  2. Re-Learn Engineering leveling to at least 200
  3. Go to hut in steamweedle port, click not he Soothsaying for Dummies book

Also I see it might be broken atm and there might be an open bug on it

Were you able to solve it? I have the same problem. I deleted my profession so I could change my specialization, and now I’m back up to 300 and they won’t give me the mission to choose a specialization.

You’ll want to keep an eye on the hotfix notes for updates, they’ll post there when a fix is implemented.

  • Book “Soothsaying for Dummies”, used to re-choose profession specializations for Leatherworking and Engineering, has been temporarily disabled while we resolve an issue with it granting the wrong specialization.
    • Developers’ notes: We’re aiming to have the book reenabled in the not-too-distant future and will post a hotfix note when that happens.

download questie enable low level quest and check all the npcs that are related to the questline. Which should be ratchet → tanaris for goblin engineering

has this been fixed yet? How do we learn gnomish engi if we are goblin?
