Is this intentional or are the devs fighting some kind of civil war that we don’t know about, where one group is trying to make the other group look bad?

blizz design team has said, as a written statement, that "scaling isnt a problem, once you get to heroic raid gear in the current expansion then old instance scaling is fine. "

They don’t take it seriously and they shouldn’t. People who like the game will play the game. People who don’t will leave. The people who stay around paying them to complain in the forums are a peculiar form of revenue. They are more than happy to take your money.

i made a new character today and bosses in classic dungeons are taking 5+ minutes with enchanted bta gear. its terrible atm

Dungeons are fine right now. Just follow basic mechanics.
wait did they actually say that or was this what was said coming into SL?, I have 8 hunters i leveled geared just enough so they could solo mythic Argus for that mount, having to re level and re gear them all for no reason other than “because” is just stupid!

This was said coming into SL, which was in response to a whole bunch of complaining because they did the same thing in wotlk, Cata, I don’t remember mop, wod, legion was fine, and BFA.
At some point it’s not an “accident”. That generally is made abundandly clear when they come right out and say “this is not an accident”.

Wotlk went from being able to solo into MC to struggling with trash.
Cata the squish was so bad they ended up reverting some of it. Long time later. This isn’t new.
We are not talking about squish. Scaling never existed back then with Wotlk or Cata.

Scaling is messing up all old content now. It is up to you if you want to read up what is happening currently IMVHO.
