It’s a poorly designed mess. Sitting there and spamming a button to drop your soul shards is awful gameplay. It doesn’t matter if it’s stacking UA or Malefic Rapture, it’s clunky and unrewarding. And the Spec has so many moving parts that it’s impossible to keep track of without stacking as many passive talents as you can or installing an addon. It also seems to be impossible to balance as Affliction Warlocks swing wildly from being top tier to bottom from patch to patch.

It’s time to take a hatchet to the current iteration and start from scratch. Keep the classic, core abilities. But take out garbage like Malefic Rapture.

I like affliction, but they are forcing everyone to run haunt, which is essentially another dot with a cast bar. It’s overly complicated and the damage still ramps up slowly compared to bursty specs.

At least we have some help with corruption now. It ain’t much, but better than nothing.
