GNOMES: We're long overdue

As someone who mains NE and would consider myself a NE “fan”, yes please stop making content for them. Every step along the way from Legion to DF was awful. Please Blizz, forget they exist until you get some better writers in charge.

Everyone else… be careful what you ask for.

“GNOMES: We’re long overdue”

Sorry but this should’ve been “GNOMES: We’re short overdue” in the spirit of true Gnomes and would’ve gotten my vote!

“Sir, the players are requesting new content for gnomes. What should we do?”

“Hmm…Give them more elf features and transmog options. That should quell the rabble.”

No. If the Alliance gets too many cities Blizzard will have the Horde destroy one and I don’t want to lose Boralus.

Agreed! We also need a revamped Tram with connections to Gnomeregan and Mechagon City.

I’m all for Gnome Druids, but I’d like to keep Robo-Druids reserved for Mechagnomes, while Gnomes would have access to tiny woodland creatures (not babies!). Forms like Badgers, Ferrets, Roadrunners, Mushroom (Tree Form), and Hummingbirds.

With the retaking of Gnomeregan, it would be the perfect time to add Leper Gnomes, as a Horde option!

Visually it doesn’t work though
You don’t want them to simply pop into the forms like Druid, but transform ideally
Maybe it’ll be a spec for tinker and be similar but not 1:1
I think it has potential and I can appreciate the thought you’ve put into this though!

I want mechagnome druids, but the natural magic of the druid has no effect on the artificial prosthetics of the mechagnome.

The result is a fierce bear or cat form that drags itself along on tiny robo-gnome arms and legs.

Yeah, gnomes are my favorite race. They really need more stuff. Its insane Gnomeregan hasnt been retaken in 20 years. Especially when the pre-Cata world events were about retaking Gnomeregan and the Echo Isles, and trolls didnt have be content with half measures, they got their Isles back.

If they don’t make the 80’s transformer sound when shifting forms I’m unsubscribing from the game.

As someone who’s warrior is gnome. I approve this message.

Mecagnome druids are easy to explain (and so obviously 80s’ cartoons) but regular gnomes require serious brain twisting, even for a mock up “druid” class. Classes shall be concepts you can adapt to any race, but gnome druid always hit me in the wrong spot, dunno why.

On another hand, I’ve always felt mecas, with their easy and rich background, took away from regulars, who’ve been left behind forever. Gelbin’s coming to the front only led to another kind of gnomes shining, it’s quite sad. Even having charismatic playable gobs was a low blow, and DIDs, who had been our enemy for long.

I don’t think we need a whole xpack about gnomes, but in a Titans trilogy, there’s surely enough room for them to all shine !

(and pay whatever Hasbro wants for the Transformers’ sounds kthxbye)

10/10 no notes.

I feel like this is how it would happen

That’s the idea, is the suit is built into a bracer or back piece and would “transform”.

I mean, this doesn’t look good on any druid. People are just used to it.

More gnomes you want?
Such an easy change?
How about 2 new classes, a new allied race, some more zones, 7 new endgame systems, and changes to m+? Much more simple

But we just got puntable gnomes for Christmas. What more do you want?

The OP makes a lot of good points. Gnomes do need their time in the spotlight. More that that Old God BFA patch too. And no human or orc NPC’s in that area too. Their kind has hogged too much of the spotlight and mog sets.

I second this. As someone that suffered through Beast Machines, big “No” to techno organic monstrosities.

The only problem I have with this, is we’ve already done so much tech related stuff recently… Titans, Goblins, Draenei, etc. There’s a reason SL’s biggest meme is: “Everything is ROBOTS!”.

Gnomeregan as a capital city is, definitely, long overdue!
