Gnomes should be like lalafells

Useful to the story and not comic relief

But then who would we punt?

You can still punt them but if blizzard had made them like lalafells they would not be in this sad state. I want a serious gnome as a threat

Only in the context of being a race that’s taken seriously. Lallafel design makes me EXTREMELY uncomfortable.

The humans.

And yeah would be nice to actually do something amazing with our big brains. Even if it was impactful and not threatening that would be great. Instead, 17 years later…we still cant win our city back from a leper gnome.

Lalafell scare the everliving crap out of me, mostly because they LITERALLY LOOK LIKE PORCELAIN CHILDREN.

Worse when the female one’s hit on my Chungus Monk. Makes me feel VERY uncomfortable.

Let’s get out of the gnome punting mentality. Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you the next big thing!! Dwarf rolling!!

We can’t help it we are short in stature but the punting has to stop :stop_sign:

Damn bro didnt do them like that

Come to think of it, even if the gnome is a threat like Milhouse Manastorm or Thermaplugg they still become comedy fodder. Possible exception being King Mechagon. Which I don’t know because I didn’t follow the story line or do the raid.

When people didnt take king mechagon seriously thats when blizz just gave up on them. Which is sad because they have potential to be a threat

They are useful, as supplementary protein.

Agree. Now with our Iron Man Mekkatorque we should appear more in the show

I respect where you’re coming from, but as a gnome stan I feel like I have to say it’s the opposite, lalafells should be like gnomes!

I 100% support this more gnomes in Shadowlands idea. And also more gnomes everywhere else

Gnomes were not made to be comic relief from the start. Right besides the Dwarves that came with them. While the Dwarves retained much of their original flavor, Gnomes went all downhill.

It is like Star Trek Ferengi. They were initially meant to be the “Financial Borgs” of the Star Trek Universe, being one of the main villains and showing up only so much to keep the tension and to be a shadow always present and always involved in everything from the shadows. Someone thought that it would be too much, and then they became the comic relief and the joke over corporate World.

Gnomes were also to be something, aside from a lot of characters in Warcraft Universe that were ri … borrowed from previous Sword and Sorcery themed stories. They started more close to Warhammer when both were novelty, and Warcraft II had some less dumb gnomish things.

However they went the Hallmark Cards Gnomes route when they started to really feature gnomes on their own.

Well, there’s always Millhouse Manast…. Oh, wait…

Hmmm…

Never mind.

Like I said …

" Gnomes (called “Gnommi” in their own language Ghassally) are a mysterious race that lives in the hidden recesses of the Old World. Infused by the Grey Wind of Magic, they are natural tricksters and usually live withdrawn from the rest of the Empire."

Once upon a time …

i thought gnomes are helpful to the plot. i mean, mekkatorque set-off the bombs at dazar’alor. it’s the goblins who’re the comic relief, their inventions blow themselves up all the time! (which is part of why i love’em)
