They make really good mistweaver monks and holy priests but you can genuenely play them as any spec and be fine. Especially if that spec loves haste.

Haste is always nice, and Escape Artist is a really good PvP talent on a low CD

If you wanna be a melee class and PvP, Escape Artist will be very handy

This. Love my Gnome Hunter with robot pets in his clockwork heritage armor.

I also like them as Rogues and Mages. I find their casting animations to be some of the best in the game.
