Gnomeregan Electrocutioner bug with Mildly-Irradiated Rejuvenation Potion

Balance Druid here, this week during our Gnomeregan run I was hit for 2k on the Electrocutioner and killed instantly, twice, from the static arc. Everyone else took about 1k damage. The only difference this week was I had the Irradiated Robe + was popping Mildly-Irradiated Rejuvenation Potion on boss pull.

We are thinking the pots are what is causing me to take double damage. I can’t find anything stating the pots give you a debuff, so not sure if this is intentional but it really doesn’t seem that way.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Wrong forum.

The potion makes you take 100% increased damage. So you spent 25g on an absolute garbage recipe. I cant even use this on my character because i tank.

The only useless gnomer trade item

Where did you get this info? Sorry I’m newish to wow and don’t know where to find things like this. Im also confused why it doesn’t state on the potion itself that you take increased damage as well.

Wowhead tells you

“Side Effects Can Include: Dizzyness, Dry Mouth, Fatigue, Lack of Apettite, Acute Radiation Poisoning, Mutation, and Death. Use as directed.”

In most versions of this game - in most games these days in general - this would 100% be considered nothing but flavor text. In a version of WoW that is “trying to keep within the spirit of Classic,” however, this flavor text is a warning label. (Except when it’s not; gotta love the inconsistent whimsy.) It’s similar to the Gnomish Death Ray:

Use: The devices charges over time using your life force and then directs a burst of energy at your opponent. (5 Min Cooldown)
"Death or Serious Injury may result from use of this device."

At least you’re aware now, I guess? :man_shrugging:
