Word on the street is that when Tinkers are added as a class the Gnomes get a capital called, you guessed it, Goblinville; where all the best mech suits are made!
I honestly blame blizzard. It should have been taken long ago by now. Undermine was finally given to us after a decade and we only see the downtown area.
I was hoping Mechagon would have been a city to explore like undermine is.
Don’t know about novels but we know it is huge. Kezan used to connect to it with a rocket tran, like we see in the game, but the island blew up. There is a new area in the island, we go in the heritage questline, that might still be connected.
In the game, there is a whole other section that is blocked off now at the rocket station.
But if we take it like the size of Gadgetzan in the lore, not in the game, it is huge.
I wonder what the actual footprint of Undermine is compared to Gnomeregan? It was a pretty big dungeon. I just don’t think there’s enough desire to reclaim Gnomeregan among the player base to justify putting all those resources into a patch for that. Maybe in The Last Titan it will be revealed Gnomeregan is actually a giant anime-style robot implanted into Azeroth and it will be used to fight off invading space forces or something.
It’s possible Gnomeregan will be a reintroduced as a new zone (maybe with anti-grav boots instead of a car) where Goblin players will be randomly abused by Gnome NPCs!
Maybe they get four specs with two different style of tanking specs…if the entire class is full of goblin names and stuff then yeah no thanks. I mean Blizz gives worgen barely anything yet goblins get one of their largest cities back and if Tinker is stained with goblin names and themes that makes the bias even worse. Sure worgen got Gilneas back but we can’t do literally anything with it so it’s like we never got it back at all… yet goblins get an entire city you can explore…wonder how many goblins get run over in Undermine since we’ve been able to explore it.
