Im going human. As said before 10% off rep grinds is huge. Weather its cloth donation for faction reps, grinding furblogs for timbermaw or grinding misc materials for thorium brotherhood ill gladly take 10% off those times.

I say human simply because a gnome is really only better at destruction. Int gives you crit and dots don’t crit so most warlock spells aren’t affected unless you’re a pure nuker.

Perception and Escape Artist are both situational. Warlocks can’t do much running anyways so escape artist isn’t too useful to have. Perception edges out a bit here.

Humans have Diplomacy which is amazing for rep grinds. 10% bonus to rep gains? That’s a lot of time saved.

So if you plan on only being a destruction nuker take gnome, if you might want to do more affliction or demonology then go human.

Warlocks at end game cast COE and spam SB, so gnome will win out in every scenario. Both raiding specs (DS/Ruin, SM/Ruin) go into the destro tree

True but not everyone is planning on getting into a cutting-edge raid. Some will PVP, some won’t raid at all, some will raid casually and it won’t matter so much. Also, with 16 debuff slots there will be more room for other warlock specs in a raid.

It’s certainly not cut-and-dry, both humans and gnomes have their advantages.

Gnome for min/max, but whichever you prefer if you care more for aesthetics. Humans also have a few more quality of life racials (Human Spirit and Diplomacy), so there’s that. They’re just very minor.

And, honestly, if they’re going for an increase in debuff slots why not just go for more? In for an inch…

Because they’re going with the 1.12 state, which had the 16 debuffs, rather than the 2.0 state, which had unlimited.

Ahh, thanks. I was trying to find out which patch that dropped in.

It really was a shame that some specs were hurt very badly by the limit. It made the game much more limiting than it had to be. But that’s history for ya!

Its more demoralizing to be beat by a gnome than a human. Always go gnome when its an option

Extremely narrow use, as it’s not that strong in the first place. If you want a better PvP racial, Escape Artist is more universally useful.
