Gnome or Goblin Survival Hunter?

I want to make a tech themed Survival Hunter and I can’t decided between them I’m not doing Mecha Gnome because I don’t like the diaper look they got going.

But mechagnomes have the best tech themes. They even get the hologram racials to help you escape combat

I see you are using a tabard to disguise the mechagnome diaper look. This is clever!

If you want “clean” or futuristic tinker tech go gnome but personally for hunters I feel the rusty/scrapmetal/explosion vibe fits so goblin. Survival hunter is all about throwing bombs and traps and goblins fit that best.

Forgot to mention rocket jump + disengage is awesome.

Goblins are Horde so the answer is very clear.

Goblin, of the two. Gnome is more mech than steampunk.

That said the Dumpster Gnome heritage armor is chefs kiss

There’s plenty of mail big belts and tabards that can hide the look you despise. My mechagnome ‘Autobot’ won trial of style a few times with her alliance sets. Their racials are also super useful.

I might reconsider when it comes to them

Mechagnome Racials:

  • Hyper Organic Light Originator: Summon 2 Organic Light duplicates to distract your foes. 3 minute cooldown.

Racial Passives:

  • Combat Analysis: You gather and analyze combat data every 5 sec, increasing your primary stat by 4, stacking up to 8 times. The data decays while out of combat.
  • Mastercraft: You function as a personal Blacksmithing Anvil, Cooking Fire, and Mining Forge. In addition, your limbs include every profession tool.
  • Emergency Failsafe: When you fall below 20% health, heal for 15% of your maximum health. This effect cannot occur more than once every 2.5 min.
  • Skeleton Pinkie: Allows opening of locked chests and doors on a level similar to yours.

Gnomes are domesticated mammals so they’re not made for survival in the wilderness.
Goblins on the other hand lives in caves and jungle so it’s better for the role.

Sitting here making a Mecha-Gnome and they are in dire need of more customization options especially more hair color’s and facial hair options

I like both races, but I lean toward Gnomes more. They have a cuter cheer.

Depends on the aesthetic you’re going for. Mechagnomes have a very broad range of aesthetics, based on how you mog them.

Gnome: Steampunk
Mechagnome: Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Atomicpunk, Clockpunk or Cyberpunk.
Goblin: Dieselpunk

Wants to make a tech theme character but refuses to go mecha.

I caved and went Mecha Gnome anyways just got to keep finding ways to hide the diaper

Go Gnome and then get a really big pet!

never go gnome. being a gnome is like admitting defeat in life

I wish we could customize their legs. Like one leg is a prosthetic or sometjhing

From a lore perspective, goblins are a better fit for hunters. In the Second War/WC2, goblins were able to capture massive turtles in the oceans and fit a capsule onto their shells to use as submarines. Because the Old Horde was more treacherous and because goblins are more indifferent/less opposed to the idea of slavery than any other playable race, it’s often been implied that goblins control over nature is one more of dominance and control than cooperation, but you don’t have to view your goblin that way.
