Do I really need the rep boost for a mage in classic? Its not like there is Pathfinder.
Do some factions provide great rewards? I don’t really see anything impressive, just cosmetic.
Also, humans don’t have the comb-over.

I won’t change it, because you’ve already made the correct decision. Assuming Alliance is your locked in faction, of course.
Not that Mage was under represented by any means but one of the things I’m hoping to see is more of the lesser represented races; the more gnomes the better I say!
I won’t try to.
Clothy mage gnomes are much easier to punt than agile or armoured ones.
I’m considering a gnome rogue.
Reputation gives cheaper repairs, better vendor prices (mounts included) and Argent Dawn / BG vendors give some great gear rewards.
Comb-over is only needed when you’re bald and short.
Humans get +sword skill, so melee mage is 100% raid viable cough
I don’t think argent dawn has anything I’d need unless my guild raiding goes horribly. There may be some validity to the bg rep. But that just means I’d have to run more which I’m going to do anyways.
The shame you’ll feel being a gnome.
argent dawn rep is needed to get the attunement to naxx to be cheaper.
but ya dont do gnome mage so there is less competition for mobs in the starter zone for me .
Im sure there is a way to fix it but camera position as a gnome always felt bad to me.
Yes, be a gnome. So very puntable.
I am going gnome rogue >:)
The power behind my kick on the nearest gnome is going to shatter the durability on my boots and start the cataclysm 2 expansions early.
GL with that punt after I use my world enlarger.
Oh not at all, go gnome all the way, especially if you’re PvPing.
I punched him in the face!
Mages seem to all summon the same portions of food, so it does sound like an economical choice. Lots of left-overs.

I LOVE their feet animation when they are stealthing, definitely almost went Gnome just for that reason.
I’m sorry OP, I can’t tell you otherwise. What I can tell you is how inadequate I felt when I noticed that Gnomes for whatever reason make mounts they ride on bigger. Frostsabers especially are considerably and noticeably bigger.
You know what! Since I feel defensive now about their bigger mounts; how’s that stream of water there? Oh you dismounted, take that. Got some new flashy shoulder pads? What shoulder pads? - I can barely see them. You’re target it too far away? Nothing like that amazing voice telling you ALL THE TIME, HUH (Ignore the fact there’s an option to turn that off). Hmm what else… you’ll commonly be punted and killed because the death animation/sound is so funny. Nothing like perfectly timing a Rogue’s kick to make it look like they kicked you!
Phew… ok I’m good. Carry on.
Somebody I know was debating between human/gnome mage for a while. He’s going gnome in the end. I would say you would stand out more, but you will be out of sight with all the humans blocking you.
The BG reps give really good epic loot if you get exalted. I think the main benefit of rolling human is not being an ugly little gremlin though.
