hey blizzard can we please have an option to be smaller as a gnome last I checked gnomes aren’t 4 feet tall

Give the gnome what it needs, but it’s still food.

I don’t know, there was a whole thing about the difference between 5’11" and 6’0" a while back. I can’t begin to imagine what the memers would do with 4’0" and 6’0".

I just Googled gnome height to my shock they say that gnomes are three to three and a half feet tall which is nowhere near as tall as I imagine them being from folklore I’m actually sad now

I don’t know, I’ve always likened Gnomes to Leprechauns, and a 3-foot height seems kind of reasonable for them.

i wish gnomes looked more inhuman? like fairies?

I feel they and dwarves fill an incredibly similar niche

It’s funny because back when I was a child I watched a cartoon called David The Gnome I believe and he was no taller than a fox and a fox is literally about a foot tall that’s where I based all of my gnome Knowledge from LOL

If you shave a dwarf, the biggest difference is proportions. Gnomes have a ridiculously huge noggin whereas dwarves have an oddly small one (probably to offset the massive beards). Also dwarves are balls of muscle whereas gnomes are stickmen.

I know, but conceptually they still seem way too similar to me.

Fair I suppose.

I could see a faerie-like version of gnomes running into playability problems, though. Even gnomes have trouble with line of sight (much more so than dwarves, goblins, and vulps), so imagine what it’d be like to play a character that’s even smaller.

But there are other qualities of faeries that could be taken on by gnomes I suppose.

Meh.

In a world chocked-full of NPCs that are 10’ as a minimum, we’re all gnomes.

Oh, what’s that? You didn’t want to play an itty bitty shrimpkin race? You wanted to be “tall” to “normal”? Too bad. NPCs all have to be twice your size if not more, even when they’re the same race as you for… reasons. Blood Elf, Void Elf, Night Elf? No no, there are only Keebler Elves.

No one gets to be tall, no one get to be even “average”, everyone is short because that’s the design, that’s the aesthetic, and that’s the stupid concept we’re all stuck with.

Until implemented you’re gonna have to stick with workarounds like Pygmy Oil or the Darkmoon Seesaw.

I know you’re joking, but it’s absolutely necessary for them to do that. You ever fight the Scrap King on Mechagon? You ever intentionally dodge his Mind Slice attack when there are 20 dudes clapping his mechacheeks?
