Gnome Druids

Gnomes are a part of the handful of races who would never make sense to be a druid

Hello I am the Druid I am sobbing I want to be a gnome so bad

Give me a valid lore reason that doesn’t include mechanical druids.

Gnomes are smart and pursue knowledge, and they can figure out how to do anything!

Bonus points for posting this on a Goblin Shaman, though.

We make deals and go into contracts with practically anyone especially if it’s to our advantage. I’m sure there’s some contractual pact kind of thing going on with goblin shaman.

This kind of lore would make sense.

Trust me: goblin shaman make more sense than Gnome Druids.

I am firmly against gnome druids. As a beastmastery hunter, the last thing I need is to be accused of animal abuse when I punt the little buggers. Very damaging for my career.

Yup. Gnomes have enough variance in their current classes, that not allowing gnome druids is just snobbery at this point.

I’ve wanted gnome druids forever, but clearly I’ll be done playing WoW before they even consider it.

Even if the lore is sketchy, ultimately it’s due to stubbornness and stinginess that it’ll never happen.

I’ll help you until my sub runs out in 4 days.

Honestly, I think at this point all races should be able to play all classes. I mean, It’s almost there anyway at this point.

I think everyone is looking at this the wrong way, you need to be a Gnight Elf to be a druid. Tiny, gnome-sized elves with glowy eyes!

Honestly,if we keep mixing classes then no one would be unique and the will get boring. i rather be a common species of hero than a rare one i leave that one for a npc.

This is not a druid, this is a robot from a Saturday morning cartoon transplanted into this game’s universe. Druidism is not all about shapeshifting, they still need to have a desire and aptitude for preserving and channeling nature, but this is a race whose culture, homeland, and physical forms are all the antithesis of everything druids stand for.

None of these transformations should be physically possible, either. Real druids use magic to turn into animals. A mechagnome “druid” would probably use technology to emulate druid abilities. Since they’re still half-organic, they wouldn’t be able to turn into a fully mechanical beast and survive, as all that flesh has to go somewhere. If by some miracle, they were able to use magic to transform, they would have to turn into regular animals because robot cats and bears aren’t found in nature, so a druid wouldn’t have access to them. There are a lot of other things about this particular race/class combo that would make it baffling even for this game, but I could go on forever.

A tank does not have claws, teeth, or any of the other things that a real druid has in bear form, so they would not logically be able to use any bear form spells.

They are, but druid as a class attracts people like OP who want to infantilize races like gnomes, vulpera, and stewards, so of course, gnome and steward druids are a must-have for them.

Not happening. Void elves cannot be paladins. Draenei would not want to have warlocks. Lightforged cannot be demon hunters. I’m sick of having to explain this at least once a month.

That’s a scary picture.

Would literally destroy the game. Literally.

No scarier than the Lavafell or whatever they are from FF.

They’ll short ,glowing yellow eyes move fast and may want to eat me ,I would say they are scary :scream:

You forgot Gnomes can’t be Druids.

I’d be much more concerned with hunters wandering about with gorillas and monkey pets, those things can turn feral in a heartbeat.
