The gnomes don’t have a connection to the emerald dream nor have something like a loa or curse to connect us to the emerald dream.

Yeah but explain Mecha-gnomes and their classes then? How can they be warlocks? Big Blue can pull Gnome Druids out of their buttocks with retcon lore. They’ve done it before (see: Tauren Paladin)

There were many that used to be gnomish warlocks before being forced into mechanization. Besides that, it’s a puzzling situation to mix augments with druidic transformation.
I’m surprised to hear that you are open to such ideas. I’ve always said that nature often needs to be pushed along, but I would have wagered that you’d disagree.
That said, I’m unsure how permanent modifications would interface reliably with your malleable biological components. Unless you’re willing to take large risks, I would recommend starting with ingestible modifiers.
If those succeed, move onto small, superficial attachments that can be removed without risk if your body reacts poorly.
