Returned player. Quit during MoP, came back before DF. Working on unlocking Zandalari Troll and it has been anything but enjoyable. I don’t know what quest I need to keep going and I’m not wanting to do every quest available. I’m currently working through Ready for War but it just stopped after I completed a quest with no follow-up and I can’t find the answers through Wowhead. So many times I’ve wanted to punch my monitor , but before I lose it, I figured I’d try this.
Have you looked at this guide? It tells you what you need to do.
Unfortunately, there are no GMs that come to this forums and even if they did, they cannot give game hints. The blue posters here are SFAs and also cannot give game hints.
Here is a guide to unlocking Zandalari Trolls that may help if you haven’t already seen it.
Wowhead also has a tool that you can see what quests and chains you still have open in any zones.
Wowhead is overall inadequate. There is nothing on that site that will say: You need to do these pre-requisites starting here to continue a storyline you’ve already started but abruptly ended halfway with no follow-up because devs were more concerned with hurting women.
Trash is trash.
If you use the tool that I posted, you can look up the quest chains that are listed in the Achievements required to unlock Zandalari Trolls and you can see what you’ve completed, which you have not, and where they start. It’s not rocket science.
I just did a quick lookup for your character and it shows all of the quests you have not completed in Zuldazar.
You got it. I’m still lost. At least I did learn the replies on these forums will be unhelpful.
So, what you probably don’t want to hear is that for the Zandalari Trolls, you’re going to have to do most of the quests available. You don’t have to go to Naz’jatar, Mechagon, Vale of Eternal Blossoms or Uldum, but you’ll have to do pretty much everything else. So, if you see the quests “The Warchief’s Order” or “Send the Fleet” you don’t have to do those, as those are what start those later patch zones.
Everything else? It’s probably faster to just do the quests you come across rather than try to sort out if it’s a required quest or a side quest. Most of it’s required anyhow.
Dragonflight raised the level requirement for most of the War Campaign to 60, so if you’re below that level, that’s why your progress on Ready for War stopped. Get to 60 and you’ll be able to pick up the next quests.
The other easily missed step for the War Campaign is getting you Heart of Azeroth. There will be an Earthen Guardian NPC near the flightpath in Zuldazar Harbor with the quest “A Dying World.” It’s available at 40, but there’s not much reason to do it before 60 (and I’ve seen one person have phasing issues completing the quest before 50 so I’d at least wait until them to avoid frustration.)
