Glyphs, Spell Appearances - Lore & Gameplay Intertwine

There’s some things that players have brought up in the past in relation to classes and the animate appearance of their spells & such, as well as wanting to address more to give to Inscription profession that’s fun and engaging for players.

I for one, would like if they provided Mage with a glyph that allows a specs appearance of spells to appear of another nature - Example; Frost Spec having spells appear Arcane, or Arcane Spec having a fiery appearance and so forth. For one it would feel more ‘Master Magi’ utilising all manner of your utility & knowledge of magic to the table. Even if it were just with particular specific spells like ‘Your Frostbolt now appears as an Arcane bolt.’

I’d like this to be interpreted to multiple classes, such as Monks having their mist spells appear silver instead of green (Like yknow … actual mist), or for priests having their holy spells appear shadowy in nature (Would finally give Void Elves cannon-healing specs) / Shadow Spec appearing holy (Replacing Tentacles with Naaru-symbols above shoulders), and so forth.

My friends and I just think it would be a really cool-fun feature to add to the game, hence thought I’d share.
As usual everyone, feel free to post agreements / ideas to build upon, discussion / elaboration & more ~

Completely agree with you! Which is why it’s one of the things I have on my customisation mega thread.

And not just cross-elements, but perhaps a potion or such to change your skills to any colour of the rainbow, lore-fitting or not.
Why should it fit the lore if I magically make my hunter’s attacks pink?

Must have been a lot of arcwine you guys had huh :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lore matters to a vast majority of players within this game, for some such as myself – its the reason we continue to play. I agree with the overall notion of this thread, but feel it should still be respective to lore - and allow the customisation have links to the class itself.
