The community at large has vastly requested the return of glyphs for esthetic purposes. The following examples provide context:
- Glyph for warlocks to use old shadowbolt
- Glyph for warlocks to use old chaos bolt
- Glyph for warlocks to use old seed of corruption
- Glyph for paladins to use old hammer
- Glyph for paladins to use old holy light
- Glyph for mages to use old blizzard
- Glyph for mages to use old pyroblast
- Glyph for shamans to use old lightning bolt
- Glyphs for ALL classes to have different colors of spells
- Glyphs for ALL classes to have different options such as for paladins either hammer/sword/axe, etc…
These options provide greatly needed esthetic choices for players to modify their characters to fit their chosen themes. Obviously, we would prefer updated graphics such as an updated shadow bolt that actually represented the warlock class instead of a sparkly purple p00p, but glyphs are our next best option.

The current animation of Warlock’s shadowbolt is actually quite lazy and boring, the old one had a skull animation that I really liked. The chaosbolt I also find strange and it really looks… The old one was better

That is the overwhelming consensus and its way past due for a new one.
I am suggesting something sharp, ie, like the old red seed of corruption but bigger, black, with skulls. No more purple. No more lobbing. No more sparkles. Nothing of todays shadow bolt represents a warlock.

i would like to change visuals of spells to 6 cosmic force.
every class every spec could use it.
for example
fel theme druid.
shadow theme paladin
life theme demon hunter
death theme priest
Eh, no.
This is more about actually needed changes not some off the wall never going to happen stuff.

I would love at least one glyph. I would kill for the ability to make my spells look more like my chosen Flight, but that is unlikely to happen. Something easy would be at least the ability to change the colour of the poof that happens with you switch to Visage and back. I would take even that.

Yea, knowing blizz over 20 yrs, they never produce anything that actually matches the requests of the community. Instead, it is an often cheaper, off-the-mark version of what we request.
Since it is the holidays, this is an excellent example of what they do. Say you find something you really want on amazon, that exact model. You put it into your christmas list. On christmas day you open your gift and you get what you wanted, but from temu, with only 1/4 of the features of the original (which were the primary reason you wanted the item), and at only 1/10th of the quality. You use it for a couple of weeks, the quality doesnt hold up, it breaks and you move on.
Thats blizz in a nutshell when it comes to provide graphic options. You never actually get what you want, and when you do, its never actually what the community asks for, and bc of that, people only use the glyphs for maybe a month or two then they go back to the original and start asking for more glyphs. All while if the original glyphs were made to the quality and specs requested by the community, the demand would be much less (never gone, mind you, but less).

Glyph for old Arcane Missiles (the arcing geometrical animation) back on Mage, instead of the funfetti we have now.
Glyph for Priests to turn the golden light into a silver light when casting, and on the spells themselves.
Glyph for Priests to turn all shadow magic spells into a more bluish indigo/ purple cosmic theme like Voidweaver hero talent spells.

I dont get why blizz went sparkly crap. Seriously. No class wants to be known for that, especially warlocks. Lol i mean, think about it. Show up to a fight with these evil looking gearsets and the demons and then you cast that sparkly crap. Thats when you just look at them and laugh.
To double the example, think about the original animation in classic showing warlocks. Mean, angry looking. Scary. Now: casting purple sparkly poop and spells you cant even see (MR for AFF).
Just sad.
Glyph of Ascendance for shaman is a big requested one that they refuse to bring back.
Across the board there needs to be more glyphs. Players love cosmetic customization. It’s a low effort easy win.
