Judging by the animation they have when in of Visage form for combat, they didn’t plan on it.
Who knows, it might happen.
I think it takes away the immersion of being a Dracthyr though.

Personally I’d rather they put the work into making evoker accessible to other races so y’all can play the humans and elves you seem to want to. That an make the dractyre have access to more classes so those of us who want to play a dragon have more choices. That has more wins for more people.

I think that it would be a more complicated solution than including more visage race options, because the class was really made with the dracthyr in mind, with spells like deep breath that require wings + breath attack, and the 2 racials of the dracthyr that require use of tail and wings are also considered class spells since there is a talent in the evoker tree that reduces its cooldown (even torghast orb upgrades affect the racials).
The talent parts would require some work, but adding temp summoned wings for abilites ala what’s done for DH would probably work pretty well. The animations for some abilities though would need to be added judging by how some of the transmog toys work.
i think the biggest problem here is, in pve as a healer why would you pick anything but Night Elf. for pvp, Undead or human…
Certain Racials make class combinations OP. Id say the best thing you could do is allow a VISUAL only change to races… and say they will be updated in the future to have dragon apperances like Elf/Human
Agree. I wish we could do Visage Combat like what Alexstrazisa was in Heroes of the Storm.

Completely disagree, dragon required spells can just be done in human form. Just give the humanoid form magic wings and let them cast from there hands its not hard it already does it if you use a toy to change your appearance.
I would hate it tbh, I already hate the animation breaking that goes on with the toy imo if ya signed up to be a dracthyr you are a dracthyr…
Dracthyr form is really what keeps me from playing Evoker more. I love the gameplay. I love the spell particle effects. I think it’s a ton of fun. Being locked into dragon form though is what ruins it for me.
I’m hopeful we’ll have the choice one day, but realistically, seeing how much of a big deal they made of Dracthyr customization, and how little cosmetic choice other classes get, I doubt it’ll ever happen.

Would lovvveeeee an option to have a glyph to remain in visage form. The dragon cultists can stay dragon, and the rest of us can enjoy our transmog instead of being a scaly flappy bird.
