Just this, can we please have a glyph for the old Shadow Bolt? That skill was awesome and a symbol for warlocks, the new one isnt bad, but its so generical! I miss the old skull a lot!

You know what’s funny?
Mortal Coil has been this purple-green blub for many years now and last patch was randomly changed to a purple skull. Completely out of the blue.
Meanwhile people have been actively asking for Shadow Bolt to go from a Purple visual back to a Skull, and nothing.

We have been BEGGGING for a new shadow bolt for years and blizz refuses to address it. Instead they fix some random spell no one cares about and uses it as an excuse to say “oh, but we changed this.”
Purple poop needs to go away. We need a BLACK, not purple, BLACK shadow bolt with skulls or something. Something sharp, not the soft and glittery insert explicit. Add glyphs for options.

I miss the old shadowbolt glow animation, it’s the reason why i got into warlock in the first place.
However, the recent color palette isn’t bad , it’s just different. The biggest issue is the missile itself is very weak and noodly. Skull projectile had impact to it.

The old color of warlocks is what made the class. Now they are are the purple version of pink pallies.
Bring back the black, the crisp/sharp edges. Bring back the ‘scary and dark’ as well as the skulls, and quit playing color pallette on the program paint with them.

I’m not really sure what you mean by this, actually.
Purple has always been a core color for Warlocks. Along with Green. This is true even for OG Shadowbolt. It had black but the main visual was purple.

I have seen this suggested for quite some time (at least since bfa) and the more time goes by, the more and more requested it seems.
Honestly, I have absolutely no understanding why this hasn’t been implemented yet, especially with Mortal Coil getting the graphic treatment, so we know that it is not an office time/resource issue. Especially as a glyph - it creates no issues with players who prefer the current shadow bolt graphic.
Also, not so popular opinion, but, in the event that they do make this a glyph, can it also work for incinerate? Shadow bolt was historically in the destruction tab of the spellbook, and since demo is mostly just summons (not a bad thing - I appreciate giving demonology a proper, unique identity), I miss having a shadow and flame spec.

Please yes, the current animation is terrible, it could one hit kill current tier raid bosses and still feel weak it’s like throwing a wet noodle it’s so lame. I don’t know if blizzard devs read class forums but it would be nice for any class that gets spell animation changes the option with glyphs to use the older ones. I got invincible to drop today from lich king and I’m not joking when I say I’d trade it for a shadowbolt glyph.
