Hey all, I want to check out the Vengeance Gluttony build, but was wondering what is the main source of damage? For weeks like Skittish, is it hard to maintain threat?

Soul Cleave will always be your #1 in over all. Boss fights Melee.
And yes, it can be tricky to hold aggro on Skit week. As long as your DPS give you 3 seconds to Inf. Strike, Sigil Flame, Imm. Aura, Soul Cleave, before doing their bursts. You’re good to go. A lot of people like stroking their egos and saying its ez and if you struggle youre doing something wrong lol. As if Skit is only a tanking mechanic.

I haven’t managed quite yet to time one, but I’ve run a few 14s and a 15 the past two weeks, and I’ve felt pretty tanky in both builds. The DPS fall off without Spirit Bomb is substantial. Does any other tank spec do so little damage in their tankier talent set up?
My hope is that when I’m twenty average ilvls better geared, I can go back to Spirit Bomb full time, because Gluttony DPS without a good corruption is anemic.
Get Echoing Void, and all problems are solved. I’m running VoP/Gluttony at all times now, with Echoing Void, and its amazing. Crazy good damage.
Same as Shiraxi, but im using twilight devastation.
Its unfortunate that corrupted gear is made this way, but one of those 2 essences (any ilvl, but tier-3 corrupted preferred) drastically improves vengancea weakest area.
While it’s definitely going to be an issue for some, given the RNG involved in the corruption system, I can tell you that corruption is probably the best thing to happen to this spec the entire xpac. No longer are we chained to Spirit Bomb in order to bring meaningful damage, and as someone who has never really liked Spirit Bomb, it feels so good to be able to leave that talent behind and pick up Gluttony to have more meaningful defense instead.
It’s worth noting that the damage gap between tanks would still be there, as they can get those corruption effects as well.
So we can (if fortunate) rent something that fills the place of something taken away and feel whole again as a class, happy, grateful, and corrupted through and through. Gluttony build, sans rental abilities, likely Melee, or Fracture.
And that’s the mindset of the Dev team. Just get it lul 4head

If you can get tier 3 echoing void you can do 33k to 41k overall as a vengeance tank using gluttony and visions.
Trust me. This season is way easier than last season. I’m already keystone master 2nd week into the season.
We will definitely see higher keys done this season over last season.
…or you can just not get echoing void or twilight devastation and suffer. This season is going to suck until I get one of those things. 
Running Vision/Gluttony now because it’s so much more survival, and the buttload of haste I have not only bolsters the proc rate, but also contributes to 10% baseline avoidance, thanks to the 35 corruption piece I do have. Ah well.
I honestly can get rid of spirit bomb, it’s too fun to use. Dusting off my vengeance so we will see when I do higher than a 10. Only failed one I did cause stupid mage left but I was able to tank kr 10 very easily at 442.
I was like you! But the survivability gains are actually really large, too large to dismiss.
It’s also nice even with the nerf to EV when it goes off during Meta procs… of course it was more fun before.
Our MT failed to show last nite so I stepped in and tanked Normal last night. I thought about porting out and changing to Gluttony, but figured YOLO and rolled with SB.
No issues with survivability at all. Maybe Gluttony really only comes into play at higher levels.
Correct I can’t talk about raiding but keys you really feel depending on pulls. Especially verse spires.
Yeah, you can run Spirit Bomb in heroic, too. Max DPS! Go hog wild. Heroic Kil’jaeden it ain’t.
