Hi everyone!
I’m in need of help with trying to create a weakaura glow for when my shadow dance or Master of Shadows is currently active. I’ve been trying to find a way to make my character frame glow or make certain abilities on my action bar glow (Shadowstrike, Cheap Shot, Sap, ect,) when I have Shadow dance/Master of Shadows active but can’t seem to understand it. Seeing an icon of the remaining cooldown of the 2 buffs doesn’t really work for me sadly. However, seeing glowy stuff on my action bars/player frame makes me more aware of the cooldown. Not sure if this is possible but I would appreciate the help.
Create whatever eye-catching icon/text/animation/texture you want for this purpose.
Set the location anchor to the button you want it to refer to. By default it’ll be more or less right on top of that button although you might need to set the anchor POINTS to the same for both to get exact correspondence (top left to top left or center to center or whatever).
Assuming a spell/ability sets it off, set up a cooldown trigger for that spell/ability and set it to “on cooldown”.
I don’t do cooldowns like this but I do some of my rotation/shot priorities like this with arrow textures and flashing animation for the same reason you’re doing this - a “proc” glow just means it’s ready now. It doesn’t mean I should USE it now - there may be a good reason to hold off for a few seconds until some other ability that makes THIS ability better can be fired.
