I came back for TWW hearing about the potentially fun “solo” content… Even though I have disabilities that make my hands shake when stressed, blindness in one eye and vision issues in the other, I wanted to see if I could enjoy it since I have always soloed most of the time and missed out on metas and such with mount rewards.
Even though my eyesight took a very bad turn for the worse, and for two weeks I literally had to press my face up against my monitor to see, I was really enjoying Delves. I could do them up to Tier 8, and it was a good challenge that was fun, but not so hard I’d scream in frustration-- until getting to the part to kill Zekvir.
With my vision and shaky hands issues, it’s IMPOSSIBLE. I can’t even get him down to 90%. I tried to get a group to help but Zekvir is HARDER in a group-- like, 5 ppl trying to kill a World Boss with bad death farts in a small room.
The whole Delve thing was supposed to be fun for people who enjoyed soloing, I work my butt off to get all of the achievements for it, just for the FINAL achievement for it to be hardcore raiding-level difficulty that might have been soloable if I had managed to get there while Brann was still glitched.
It’s great for people who don’t have peripheral vision issues or familial essential tremor… Zekvir’s mechanics are so brutally quick it’s physically impossible for me to complete it. I have to try to move my fingers so fast I lose control of my hand, and it violently cramps and shakes violently.
Just remove this from the meta. Or something. Every other part I was able to overcome with a little work, I can’t regrow an eye or stop my hand from spazzing out from pressing too many buttons too fast.
If you’re going to have soloable content, see it through to the end. Keep the difficulty reasonably even. Don’t smack somebody in the face with ludicrous difficulty spikes.
You know, I enjoyed delves so much that when my vision got really bad and I found out I had a bleed in my retina, I wanted to play so much I elected to get what turned out to be a very painful shot in my eye to restore my vision because every other option would have left me unable to play WoW for 2-3 months. I should get a customized Feat of Strength for that!
