Glory of the Delver and Moving Goalposts.. Why?

It’s obnoxious Blizz, to change goalposts for things. I had one single story iteration to go to get glory of the delver (and mount) and was just waiting on stupid rng for that story to pop for 2 weeks. Log in today, and I see they added a 4th story to skittering breach, a new nemesis feat of strength, and 2 new delves with 3 stories each to the Glory of the Delver achievement.

How is that fair for people who got it with less requirements? (I subbed later in season 1). Just make a new Glory of the Delver II achievement or something. Moving goalposts always feels awful.

Same. Just needed one story and I was done with the achievement. It does feel bad. :frowning:

Wowhead said we had until Mar 4th :frowning:
In game calendar gives no notice.
Sadness.

That’s a really awful thing to do to the playerbase. Straight up lie to us and pull the carpet under our feet. Wowhead works closely with Blizzard on announcements like that too…

but if they ever remove a requirement it’s all glorious and good.

FYI I was able to complete this last night after finishing the stories for each of the two new delves. Hopefully you can as well!

uh…you had the ENTIRE season to get this achievement, saying you waited “2 weeks” seems kinda blase…

You were being sarcastic but you’re actually correct if taken literally. Removing bad or outdated requirements is good. That’s called progress. Adding them later on is bad. That’s called regression.

no, trivialization and simplification is the opposite of progress. it’s undoing the game back into a featureless void.

I wish they had just for new rewards. I’ll be doing Delves the first week or two until I’m doing 7+'s. After that I’ll have no reason to run them.

Delves were a cool little side gig to do when no one was on and you didn’t feel like pugging last season since it had a meta achievement to farm.
