Glimmer of Light

GoL now heals for less per person the more people it’s on. What’s the point of capping it at 8 now? The healing is already capped. If I want to water it down even further by putting it on 10 people there is no scaling issue.

I guess some of the mana returns would be slightly stronger but glimmer is less mana efficient the more you put out so that seems like it would be a fair trade off.

It does but its healing also boosted by 6% per target. So having 8 target does a 48% buff on glimmer that is spread accros 8 target.

True but even that 48% with 8 targets is less than the current glimmer with 8 targets which even the current one is extremely weak. Correct me if I’m wrong but at 5 count is when glimmer on 10.1.5 becomes weaker than our current glimmer. Even with 6% per glimmer it becomes increasingly weaker, compared to current glimmer.

Well i’ll see on live. Anyway I was planning on going with solo glimmer for offensive play

Yeah I was considering that too. Even defensively I can see a situation for that. We shall see.

You also have to factor in other talents that is supporting GoL 8 target.
-Glistening Radiance procing GoL
-Light’s Protection adding 2% more damage reduction once spread
-Overflowing Light to a lesser extent
-Daybreak increasing healing all glimmer targets for 3x as much and max 24k mana per min
-Rising Sunlight + Divine Toll is really strong

There’s also

  • HS having 2 charges and the ability to reset a charge, so more Glimmers activated compared to live.
  • 25% chance of activating Glimmers on Holy Spend
  • Rising Sunlight activating a lot of Glimmers
  • Overflowing Light “wastes” less healing

tl;dr you can’t look at a single spell’s throughput in a vacuum.
