Glide = slow fall, not Glide

If you use fel rush mid air and it has you come to a complete stop, your Glide ability will not give you a push forward or move you forward, you will just slowly fall straight down, this also happens if you are stunned mid air and then attempt to glide, you will just fall straight down instead of actually gliding.

yeah, i know its annoying

this has caused me to fall into the water while heading to the class hall in legion. the bats will save you if you get close enough, but not if you fall way short

Glide =Glide because you can turn and move. Slow fall you just fall. Test before posting.

Clearly dosn’t play DH, otherwise would know VR has a CD >

You do slow fall from height. That is true. But from the ground with a double jump you can glide across things for a short distance. I use it in M+ to get over the crap mobs drop on the ground all the time.

Really hoped this would be fixed with 8.1. So sick of losing any movement/directional control half way through trying to glide to something distant. Thought it was just part of Beta for Azeroth, but it made it through a patch and still happens.

Since there is no actual wind to carry us and prolong the flight, gliding can only be for a short distance before good ol’ gravity takes over.

Not entirely correct. You don’t need wind to Glide. You only need an atmosphere.
What the OP is taking about is an annoying bug. It doesn’t always happen, but when it does, you lose all forward momentum from what ever pushed you in that direction, be it VR, FR or whatever.

And unable to use those same abilities to regain any forward momentum. :frowning:

the trick to fel rush gliding is to stop gliding at the end of the rush and then enact gliding again. works just fine then

Agree with Jarlaxl you can avoid this with getting the timing correct on when you trigger glide after fel rush. I have had it happen a few times recently but not very often.

They are talking about a bug, one that still exists. Read before posting

Says guy who necros a thread to respond to a comment made 2 years ago.

Is necroing supposed to make me wrong? I saw the date, i just don’t mind necros or necro-ing. Old posts are seen well into the future, which is proven by my presence here

It’s ridiculous.

If you want to necro the thread to say “this is still an issue”, okay, though I’ve no idea why you wouldn’t just create a thread on this topic to tell demon hunters what we already know.

Instead you do this.

Sweet necro.
