So, I know you want a response but looking at the replies and zero upvotes, this doesn’t seem to be something people care for. As a fellow pvp’er I understand but I only do arena for gear then just wpvp. Wpvp is my season 5 then will probably get wotlk and go on to that. I’d try bringing the topic up again around season 3.
I know around season 3 I’ll be asking blizzard to change the season 4 to a t6 recolored because I find season 4 gear to be terrible visually.
So are you gonna play tbc forever?
Dudes going to whine for a likely 18mo+.
Sad life to have.
The prestige existed when the content was first released, not now 16 years later.
Nope gladiator mounts and gladiator will be more prestigious than ever considering the competition has never been so experienced. Its unfortunate that a bunch of Pvers just dont understand or refuse to understand or just cope because they arent good at the skill based aspect of the game. This is a real issue that should be addressed arena has huge appeal to tons of people sadly the majority on these forums are unskilled and bitter and would rather complain about 58 boosts because apparently getting to level 58 was hard for them or something. Arena has staying power and many people will just want to play tbc arena till the end of time.
History is never “better” the second time around. Its a shame you werent there originally but you can play this version to get a idea of what is was like.
But the bragging rights are long, long gone and belong to the pioneers who earned them first not the johnny-come-latelies who are playing through the reruns.
I was there originally I got gladiator in burning crusade but ok.
We all did…just ask everyone.
I mean I can literally switch to a retail char and you can see the achievement. Getting gladiator this time around will be much harder.
My idea is that the servers will forever be on Season 4. Season 4 “ends” in order to give rewards out and then starts back up in perpetuity with no end. You can’t have a Season 5, they’d have to make new content aka gear which they wouldn’t do. Other thing they could do is immediately make fresh TBC realms that don’t allow transfers and start the process of having seasonal servers that cycle and reset forever.
Would be really disappointing if the server is just stuck in a permanent season after 4. I know I will play TBC for a long time after the ‘golden’ years and would love to have active arena ladder rather than the same season lasting for years.
Phase 5 is arena 4, they never said it ends, in truth season 4 goes on until they close the servers
They’ll just release Wrath and kill TBC Classic off.
Serious answer.
Probability is recolor / name change existing mounts for a would be Season 5+
The could even do the same with the armor. Item level is capped at S4, but rewards become basically wearable and useful cosmetics, like S4 equipment stats on S1, S2, S3 items.
That’s how I would do it if I was blizzard.
They could even use the PvE blue sets and other Tier set art for that use, like T1, T2, T2.5, and T3
Even ground mounts could be made prizes this way.
Really there are no limits on the arena rewards, they just gotta associate the art to the stats they want and boom! We win!
I’m looking forward to it, only time will tell tho.
None of this will happen,
When TBC Classic realms become TBC Era servers (before Wotlk release) season 4 will come to an end and give out the titles and mounts to those players.
After that you will still be able to climb the arena ladder, earn points each week and purchase pieces you are missing, but titles and mounts will be unobtainable.
What you’re referring to is more of a TBC+ with new content added.
How do you know what the classic team will do?
By looking at what they are doing with permanent Vanilla era realms.
Unless you really think Blizzard will pull a fast one and give people something they didn’t sign up for. Unlikely
Well they are giving us classic tbc. And if that means what I think it means… It means the only thing guaranteed is 4 seasons
Vanilla doesn’t have an organized leader board as part of the internal game with associated rewards.
It’s not 1:1 comparable
