You assume my intentions falsely
Getting Glad won’t be easy especially for someone who has never really pushed PvP content before. I have always been a casual player and usually quit playing WoW a few months into an expansion. Shadowlands was really the first expac where I really wanted to grind out PvP and potentially get glad before that my highest arena XP was 1600. I hit 2100 on 3 toons in shadowlands with my highest getting around 2250cr. I am aiming for glad in DF, but overall happy at hitting my goals in shadowlands and becoming a much better PvPer… Honestly, it’s a grind and you will have to play thousands and thousands of games, but with the right teammates you can do it.
I was new to arena in SL. After a few thousand games across multiple toons I can get Rival pretty comfortably, if that unit of measure helps you. Lol
Your class doesn’t matter so much as your comp does. It would be tough to give you a “step by step guide to glad”, but besides comps and set ups vs each other comp You fight, the #1 thing would be to improve your awareness of what your team is doing and what the enemy team is doing. I’ve seen people go above duelist and not be able to tell when the enemy their killing has used a wall for example, let alone swap off till it’s over to keep pressure. Knowing your healer is in CC so you can peel ahead of time, being vocal about being in CC and needing cleanses, etc. all comes down to being very aware of what every class does and what they are looking to do.
For example, I’ve only seen Evoker for maybe a day total, played it for maybe 30min max, and already I’m very aware that tip the scales needs to be purged or big wall, because it’s their one shot incoming. Being able to pick up on things like that when the Evoker is not your kill target, is the difference between winning and losing that game. Many classes have things like that to look for.
To add to what everyone else is saying, it’s important to just play a lot of games and absorb what you can from those games as well. You don’t get better at something by not doing it ever, and with PvP there’s a lot of small things to pick up on. It’s ok to lose, it’s ok to limit test, and it’s ok to take 1000 games to get to a milestone, but if you aren’t learning anything or putting forth effort to act on what you’ve learned then you won’t climb.
Personally I had the same goal going into Shadowlands where I wanted to push for a mount, and it took a ton more games than anyone would’ve ever told me! Progress can feel slow but it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. 2000 games for your first 2400 is still a 2400 and in 2 years no one is going to care they’re just going to say damn dude nice mount. At the end of the day, you’ll either find that it’s not for you, or you’ll find a new appreciation for this side of the game. That being said, I wish you luck!
Oh boy, this is my kinda thread
Glad isn’t hard it’s just a time investment of learning the in an outs of trinket usage comms and trades of CD. Watching ppl play better than you helps.
it is entirely possible to go from 0 exp to gladiator in a season
the best advice i could give is to be exceptionally self critical, meaning only the mistakes u make should have any value to u, recognize them and internalize them and put a real emphasis on fixing them
never blame your teammates
you should try to consume content (twitch streams) of high exp players that play ur class and then emulate the gameplay, but dont just copy what they do, u need to understand why they do it and when they do it, most high rated wow streamers will just tell u if u ask

Doors is my Robert Baratheon to my Ned Stark. We balance each other out. Although I do have a larger than life personality and am sought by many women due to my transmog, Doors can handle the 2s partnership.

I don’t know how to quote. I’m a Challenger at the Forums
I think you will find it is much harder than you initially thought, no matter how difficult you initially thought it would be
