Is this a drop or a quest reward like the Violet Spellwing? I have a feeling its another 1% drop thing but…hoping maybe not?
i believe guaranteed on a mythic jaina kill.
until 9.0 comes out then 1% after that.

Correct. 100% drop rate on mythic kills until pre-patch. Mildly annoying you only get one per clear (thus taking like 24 weeks to fill out your entire roster if you so wanted to), but it is what it is.
They will probably add another Violet Spellwing/Friendship Moose for killing N’zoth in 8.3 on Heroic since it seems to be the last boss of the expansion where you get “AotC only” mounts.

Can the mount be traded within the raid group?
im not sure there’s only a handful of mythic jaina kills worldwide. didn’t really see the world first kill.
I don’t know right now since its the first time it has been only on forced personal loot. Before you could just ML it.
Tradable, when they forced PL back in antorus there was a period of time that those that had the mount could loot it AND not trade it
I would guess its kinda like the darkmoon rabbit with 20 people

So it’s like the Legion Kara dragon mount then? Only one peep gets it.
I am guessing its like the Guldan infernal. 1 drop per kill, can be traded. You can either kill her now (most difficult), wait a few patches and kill her (still difficult), or pay for the mount from a good guild (easiest, but probably 1m at the end of BfA).
OH that is a great question. I had not even ever considered the removal of ML to impact distribution of Mythic mounts as well.
