IMO it should have been buffed by ~60% in PVP combat and that buff should have also applied to PVE.
Glacial spike also needs to explode hitting all things around the target for ~50% or whatever that tier bonus was a few years ago.
Please just remove ray of frost and change the tree to reflect the glacial spike explosion.
713 ilvl, just did a solo shuffle and my biggest spike was ~6m. Warriors get mortal strikes double that and hunters get aimed shots double that.
There is a resource gen, spend and cast time that can be interrupted. You cannot interrupt aimed shot.

Agree, for the amount of time it takes to collect 5 icicles and a long cast time for Glacial spike, the damage should be higher.

It’s laughable how hard Mage spells hit. I’ve been playing on some alts last week and even at 15+ lower ilvl they hit harder. Obviously we have ways to make up for it but I miss those big number hits. The only time we ever get to see that is with Arcane and the ten thousand ABarr damage multipliers.
Much higher. It’s nigh impossible to cast when two good melee on you.
I haven’t played my mage in PVP all season because they have been worse than a dumpster fire of expired dairy and used baby diapers…
So it took me a bit to get back in to the groove, but it genuinely seems to be that melee are utterly broken this season (and I am pretty sure they were last as well). I cannot keep warriors off me and they almost double my damage.
I have said it before and I’ll say it again, stuns need to DR with interrupts.
Roots DR on everyone, which is how ranged peel them… Why does their crap nor DR on us?
That or give every ranged class a disarm as well.
I agree, it needs a buff, and would add, it needs it BIG time.
To assist with getting it buffed, is the age old, proven method of SARCASM, SATIRE, CYNICISM, all lovingly sprinkled with SILLY.
And to start that effort, I’ll offer a better fitting name for what we really have now.
