The proper way to do AV is to sit AFK and slap the occasional mob to pretend you’re contributing.

Most players doing AV right now are no lifers, with chronic meta dependency. They will rush through everything, in an eternal lust for that dopamine, that rarely hits.
Shill out and return to AV in one month or so, i bet it will be much rewarding, fun and close to what it used to be.
Back in 2019/2020 i waited to farm the honor system, till the phase 3/4 and it was like night and day.
Even so, i still got the random no lifer alt ranking in some bg’s and screaming: “I can’t believe you guys are just now ranking your mains, you suck!”
These people are trapped in an 20yo hamster wheel and you can normally spot the red blood vessels pumping in their eyes.

It’s always going to suck when Blizz chose the 1.12 version of AV, stating that earlier AV “had too many npcs, and they were too powerful”.
Once they made that decision, AV was going to be nothing but a mindless zerg for the most efficient honor possible. Those huge, long epic battles never had a chance.

Sometimes you get a group with defenders and the games will last longer. Be the change you want. Speak up and build a defense team at the start. If you kill enough enemies they will end up defending too and the long game begins.
sounds pretty normal… AV is PVE with an opportunity to PVP mixed in. If you want PVP, you’d have to play a different BG.

Give it time. It’s rush to end for now, but once players get gear youll see a decent mid clash for actual pvp.
Backcapping towers in mid is fun.
I’d rather keep it the way it is and have horde have a 95% win rate again

I mean they were doing this back in the 2019 rerelease of classic…are you really surprised? Lol. It’s just how gaming is nowadays, most are focused on the meta and whatever the most optimal way to gain something is, and the optimal way is to just zerg objectives.
Just like in SoD, the optimal way to gain honor on alliance was to get to 1200 resources then flop the game. With alliance ques being instant, it just made the most sense to speed up the games.

I was in a very fun one a few hours ago.
We (the Alliance) were getting steamrolled by the Horde, they were in our base with the Ice Lord summoned, until we managed to kill him and drive them out. Then we went on the offensive down south as we already had some rogues destroy some towers there and killed Drek. Despite being only level 52 at the time, I like to think I caused that victory as I recapped the only bunker the Horde hadn’t burnt yet.
