This quest is so inherently flawed its laughable. Why would you make a quest target that other players can actually prevent you from being able to properly interact with the target. If another player is running by, he gets scared and moves along. iF another player clicks on it while you are channeling it resets your progress! Please hot fix this ASAP
They do this every time and they never learn.
Stupidity only carries you so far, and at this point malice is the only remaining possibility. Blizzard wants you to get frustrated and give up so you can log back in a bit later and try again. That way they can point to overall playtime and number of logins and tell shareholders that they’re doing numbers.
Or you don’t have to be the first person to get there and give it an hour so everyone is done crowding. Or you can rage and stomp around. What ever works for you. But in waiting, less stress.
Seriously, whoever decided this was a good idea can fling themselves down a rocky slope.
Fix this quest, Blizzard. This is unacceptable.
Yeah, definitely not a feelgood quest, if that’s what they were going for.
You can make it easier by toggling on Warmode, way fewer people.
I got the quest done, but now I can’t figure out how you actually acquire the damn pet.
Whoever designed this quest is a sadist.
a 2.4 second cast on gizmo (it should be instant), and if another player gets close by he runs away breaking your cast. Amazing design, as more and more players show up it gets harder and harder to do.
Which since wowhead put out a guide, more and more players are going to turn up.
There are less players in war mode (for now), so that helps.
Riko will mail it to you.
I agree that it’s stupid! But I found it easier to put a marker on it and just use my interact button and chase it around. Got it after a few mins.
i did it before the masses hit i did the rp walk much easy
I didnt know this… thank the pantheon of gods that I just finished this.
Warmode method worked for me after 2 hours of hell trying… absolutely horrible experience normally.
It’s nearly impossible on normal mode apparently. I turned warmode on like some have suggested and waltzed right up and clicked him, caught him immediately.
I had to turn on wm before I could get the racoon. What a weird design decision.
I still don’t get why there are circles of people together unless that’s to trap the racoon?
This is what I did. I chilled there for about 10 mins to let the crowd pass, clicked him, chased him up to the house, and when he came out and stopped, I got him. Seems like the mechanic is fine, but the player is entitled and impatient.
oversight by blizzard , they never learn
