I decided to give up on HC. This isn’t to say that HC sux, more like I do. So, I’m just going over to classic. Because dying is something I do quite regularly, HC just isn’t meant for me.
But, HC did remind me how much fun the game can be and what a great escape it can be. I really think the game could have that again in the retail version, without sacrificing end game content that some people enjoy. Maybe someday.

Why giving up, did you die so much? Some classes survive better than others…
Not proud of this but my last two deaths were hunters before level 15 lol. I just don’t have the patience for HC. I get in a hurry to make it at least as far as I was on the last character and hurrying is definitely not a good strategy.
Strangely hunter is one of the character that dies the most early lvls.
I play all classes and i died with hunter and warrior around lvl 10 so…
I think HC is an opportunity to maybe try classes you normally dont. And it’s not too bad to restart when you see so many lowbies constantly playing.
Best thing is to play many alts and not focus on a single character so the loss isnt that terrible when it happens.

You are a king for recognizing what HC is and choosing the option that better suits you! Most people don’t take the common sense option, or they trash HC out of spite on the way out when they do.
I died at lvl 51 as warroir. Extra things were pulled in Mara. It was multiple peoples fault. I had a great journey. But havn’t played HC in a couple weeks since. Kinda experienced what I wanted too. Yeh i didnt make it to 60 but idk just not in the mood to lvl again. I had a really nice unique experience playing withothers every day we did a dungeon. The moment i pugged it was RiP.
I got to 60 on my first try, yet I am also thinking of quitting HC. Reason being, it’s way harder to find group at 60 to do anything. I can’t even do my mage water quest because nobody at 60 wants to do Dire Maul. Been trying for 4 days now.

The prospect of dying is the only thing making classic worth playing but people can only go down that road so many times
I die, a lot. Like A LOT. 35+ is from getting a bit carried away and thinking I can take on the world. Most under that is just from my brain kind of going autopilot and not paying enough attention to my surroundings.
While I’m okay with just starting over, I can definitely see how it could become too much. My playtime has been cutdown quite a bit so I plan to start paying more attention when I do get to play. We’ll just have to see how that goes, though.
You can always just transfer your character to whatever era realm you want to be on. Either keeping it as softcore, or dumping it’s money to your main.
I have pallies and a shammy that can group with you and help you out if you need it in HC. I can heal you or dps for you.
Honestly, I can’t even make fun of you for dying pre 15 after saying this. It’s far better than crying for how HC needs to be changed. You see that it’s not your thing, accepted it, and moved on, and I respect that.
