Giving back SnD is a waste of CP and Gcd

It must’ve been before I started to play then, because as far as I can remember, Assassination was never a burst spec, it has always been a pressure spec, for over a decade. Back in WotLK, Assassination didn’t even have a DPS cooldown. Vendetta didn’t exist and all you had was Hunger for Blood, which would last 1 minute could be kept forever.

SnD should give some sort of energy gain for assassination.

30/8/13 was the big burst spec as I recall.

Pretty much only went in the other two lines for bonus crit on ambush and backstab.

I may be going rogue for shadowlands because of this but I used to play as a dot class so juggling buffs/debuffs is a thing I like.

I would love to see this as a talent for all 3 specs. Best idea I have seen on SnD so far.

How is this a good idea? I am all for replacing alacrity with a better talent, but removing something already base for a talent seems bad. Why take away when they could just make a new talent/ I am well aware a lot of rogues don’t like SnD, but that doesn’t mean it should go away. Don’t use it if it bothers you that much I guess.
I would much rather see alacrity replaced with something unique for all 3 specs.
Outlaw, I’d love to see it change RTB some how, SIN, make it so there is more poison interaction (why is toxic blade built into shiv!!!)
Sub imo it should be the old premed and the new premed replaced with something else,

ORRR have it where it gives something unique to SND for each spec.

if they just brought back cut to the chase i think it would be fine

slice & dice feel amazing in sub/outlaws kit, helps the flow of the specs greatly IMO

slice just needs some sort of interaction with assa, whether it be energy regen, cut to the chase, or perhaps some sort of form of premeditation for assa to make it feel better

Honestly, they should have it where it gives energy and refreshes with evenom or something. It feels really bad for sin atm

Cut to the chase would really solve much of the problem.

Just add that and be done with it.

It doesn’t work mechanically, for sub and outlaw sure i’m fine with that and I’m actually happy for those specs because it works great, but for sin, it’s dirt.

Id be willing to accept SnD if we got the refresh talent back on Envenom, Cut to the Chase. Refreshes SnD duration whenever we envenom or this a decent haste buff attached. Its WAY to slow at the moment and I understand its the start of an xpac. But couple this with all 3 of our “good” legendaries simming at or under 2% of our damage and watching Sub go absolutely bonkers… feels bad man.

Blizzard could literally copy and paste the MoP rogue into Shadow lands and scale the damage to that level and give us NO covenant choice and I would be 100% happy to play shadow lands at that point because doing so would un prune the class and give us a much more involved class to play.

If I had my way we would have a vanilla / tbc hybrid with a few baseline upgrades.

Actually a VERY good thing, this means we can get base damage increases where it counts, like in ability damage such as mutilate and envenom.

It isnt, Im doing dungeons with Sub rogues that just obliterate my damage and Im not bad at Assassination. The legendaries are under performing. Maybe thats a good thing IF they see this and tune them. We can hope. Slaugher however seems to be doing really good for Covenant abilites.

The game is not tuned, and you will not see a reasonable state of tune until 9.1 because 9.0 launch is the BETA.

It’s just how they have always done it, you pay for beta.

Fair point, all Im trying to do is call attention to the fact it DOES need tuning, so its not missed. I realize this isnt a finished product of the game, but if no one reports or says anything… it could go unchecked.

Unfortunately Blizzard has not regarded player feedback on classes or tuning since late MoP.

Basically soon as GhostCrawler left, WoW has been in the hands of people who’re entirely absent from the community, and I often wonder how much they play.

SND coming back is a good change. It mates Mut less brain dead.

Managing rupture and garrote is t hard at the slightest.

If you’re not running necrolord covenant then you’re going to be behind.

Bone spike is insane and covers multiple adds on top of being a ranged ability.

If they ever make a “Classic+” I’d like that but that they take some stuff (ability and talent wise) as well with upgrades like Dance, Slaughter from the Shadows, and Filthy Tricks added to the Sub tree.
