I don’t mind playing arcane mage but I don’t like chucking pink stuff around everywhere, can you please bring in something to make arcane mage spells like a darker purple kind of colour or vibrant blue or something, just from a blokes perspective I mean everything else is pandered to in this game make arcane mage not seem quite as feminine please or atleast an option to opt out of femininity, I mean sex changing at the barber is a thing now so why not

But then again they are removing rank 4s. I personally think they should leave them in the game as chase items to apply as cosmetic variants on similar spell animations. But they should remove the title for getting all of the 8.2 rank 4s, “Azeroth’s Champion”

Arcane is purple and white and a smidge of blue.
Pretty masculine if you are really that concerned. Also, from a lore perspective, warlocks and their green fire actually makes sense. Thats why it was added (also because it was cool af) but Mages? Blizzard would have to make up some pretty crazy lore to explain the sudden colour change, especially considering that beings like Aluneth who are essentially representatives of THE arcane magic use purple-y magic, it would make sense.
And from one “bloke” to another? Grow up. Colours have literally no impact on your manhood or how cool you are. Next you are going to ask that mages have tribal tatoos with flames around them, 15-foot long beards, and a black-metal band playing music in the background as they set things on fire…

Just an FYI…getting the green fire for my lock was definitely no easy task lol. And as for arcane…isnt that the actual color you would expect “arcane” magic to be?
I’d love an option to make all my spells have the blue-black color of void magic we see in NPC void-based abilities!
i’m all for cosmetic options that make your character feel more like YOUR character.

I think it happened when the ridiculous notion of “you’re not a real man if you don’t look/act like such and such” started permeating society.
I stopped caring about being a “real man” and just focus on being a good person. I don’t always succeed but I do make the effort. And if someone says I’m acting like a girl, I’ll just say “thanks!” because I know a lot of pretty impressive women.

I always felt the different spells should have slightly different hues, but still maintain the overall aesthetic. Just to mix it up a bit. Or maybe even more prismatic, where it changes color based on distance, angle, lighting, etc. That would probably be a lot of effort, though.
