PTR had another nerf to avengers shield burn.
Is this still due to arrive (given we recently got hit) or will it be cancelled?
The shield burn was part of the tuning of the 26th.
I don’t think they ever announced class tuning for 11.0.7
They did announce racial tuning which are very “mehh”
This is the thread for 11.0.7, there’s no mention of class tuning.
I don’t know if they don’t mention it in the content patch notes but according to WoWhead/Icyveins there are a number of datamined class changes too:
Now this came out like 5 days before the Protection Paladin nerf which in comparison are a bit more tame. Lightsmith was nerfed a bit and refining fire was also nerfed.
PTR class changes indicate a 40% nerf to Refining Fire 
which is a much fatter hit to us. Protection Paladin doesn’t beat a DPS at the same skill level and is doing about the same as Blood DK after its buffs. I hope to see tanks Brough up and not down.

It’s not in the patch notes but there was some datamined stuff indeed.
There’s some wording changes as well, they listed it as radiant damage.

The moment I saw refining fire I was sure it was gonna get nerfed at some point.
If they didn’t talk about it they might not be sure to leave that in.

The most fun I had as a Prot Paladin was when it was very strong in pvp at the end of BFA and in M+ for SL. Playing a tank is a large responsibility for content you don’t heavily outgear, and the specs in the role should be designed and tuned to be fun. This is a game after all. If for some damage tuning related reason a tank at a certain item level is finding an M12+ a bit easy, GOOD, they can maybe try moving on to a +13 or +14.

While I agree with your sentiment- what purpose does it serve as far as speculation on if we’re going to be hit as far as looks like will be predicted?

I dont think tanks are OP, I don’t expect tank nerfs, but I never know what to expect from blizzards tuning passes. Some things stay crazy powerful for a whole expansion, others are emergency hot fix nerfed 3 days after being made strong, on a Friday of all days.
