Does anyone in the Horde know that Jaina was a key contributor to the founding of the Horde? Rexxar of all people knew this when she allowed the Horde to flourish at the cost of her own kin.
Surely the Horde haven’t forgotten that it was this selfless act which allowed them to live in peace without the Humans and the Alliance raiding their cities and killing them off.
i am sure that everyone knows. is not a secret.
as for rexxar he just thinks that she didn’t let revenge go, probably he hear about dala.
but then he has a line that says “she killed too many” humm wut?(this is before dazarlazor)
If Grom Hellscream the literal guy who nearly destroyed the Horde’s future only to redeem it by killing a Pitlord is revered as a Hero, surely Jaina would be revered as the person who is almost a honorary member of the Horde pre-MoP at least before the Garrosh stuff.
but jaina is not an orc, she is human and alliance.
garrosh started a war versus the alliance, that makes them enemies.
is just how it is. that is what happens with conflicts.
Rexxar’s self exile turned him into a pretty introspective dude. Like Dawn said, he even respects jaina for that choice- but war is war, sadly.
And Im while im sure they do know, I really, really doubt the average orcdude Mcaxe gives a damn about jaina, her sacrifices or whatever
Forsaken sure don’t give a rats’ butt about Jaina and owe her nothing but death, and since they’re calling the shots right now, the Horde doesn’t care about her either.
They really took Rexxar to stupidtown in BFA.
“The Alliance are evil tyrants and we must MURDER THEM ALL”

“The Horde is led by an evil tyrant and I will gather our secret allies to MURDER HER”
I think Rexxar being hit with the bad writing stupidbat was the thing that disappointed me the most in BfA. I didn’t care that much that Sylvanas got ruined beyond repair, because she was already pretty sketchy, but you GET YOUR VILLAINBAT HANDS OFF MY ANIMAL LOVING BOI BLIZZARD.
Small nitpick. Jaina was not a key contributor to the founding of the Horde. Her actions made it possible for the Horde to establish themselves on Kalimdor. The Horde had already been founded and led for quite some time by Thrall.
i don’t mind his reasons, they are enemies and from his perspective, the last impression he had was her leaving dala for allowing the horde back into dala i am sure that everyone would know that.
but i am not sure what he means with “she killed too many” that sounds like she went to a tauren village, murdered everyone and then eat their babies for breakfast.
but my favorite part (not really) was rexxar taunting azshara in stormsong. “haha the strong take from the weak!” to… AZSHARA.
She helped grom to have his redemption also.
Is that screenshot from the PTR? When I talked to Rexxar in the Stormsong outpost establishment quest, he didn’t go into any of this detail. I thought they had realized how little sense his dialogue made and cut it.
No, I remember going “buh?” over that dialogue when I leveled my Horde monk.
Rexxar, curse him, wouldn’t sit down with beers and gossip about the “too far” and “too many” though. Single-minded, that Rexxar.
Maybe he read her comic and saw how she remembers him.

It’s very much on Live, you have to be going thru that zone as a Horde for the first time to get it on that character. After that, that bit of dialog goes away.
I as well when I read that was like “huh?” at the killed too many line. I also quirked an eyebrow at him calling the Kul’Tiran lands Horde lands as if it’s always been theirs. The writing got stupid, I’m sure they are doing it to make the avg horde main hate Alliance.
I did, on this character. But I notice the background around the dialogue box looks like the HQ they set up at the end of the quest chain. Is that when he says it?

The destruction of Rexxar’s character has been one of the worst crimes of BFA so far, sometimes i replay the Warcraft 3 bonus campaign to make me forget what they’ve done to him.
His new model is great though.
It’s absolutely on live, went through the dialogue options myself when I did the quest myself.
The people making story decisions dont care about the characters beyond “X should do Y so we can write Z” their personalities, motivations, etc. are all completely malleable based on whatever asinine story Blizzard intends to write.
I consider Rexxar’s “killed too many” comment to be a miscommunication amongst the writing team, and we should disregard it. Just like how they enabled Thrall’s AU Draenor click quotes while he was still in the Blasted Lands. “This land is not like Azeroth.” Or w/e it was.
I don’t consider his character ruined anymore so than all the other Horde leaders that turned an eye on Teldrassil and Undercity.
