Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

Then… what’s the issue?

FYI everybody, worgen were removed the separate human and worgen customization. I expect they’ll be back up on alpha soon!

Added and explained. Not just added. There are multiple possible explanations. Which would you like? You can click on each below for more info.

There is literally nothing we disagree on then.

I like the Gift of Ardenwaeld or Emerald Dream corruption ideas.

Great! Then we can advocate for one of those questlines to be added, like the Night Warrior scenario. In that case, it is adding to worgen, not changing them.

It’s adding to them whether there’s a questline or not.

I just want the old Worgen model back. Race changed to Night Elf, would love to go back.

If you are saying worgen always had tails, that is changing.
If you are saying some worgen recently grew tails, that is adding.

Which explanation is your favorite?

If you add a tail option to worgen without a storyline, that is still adding.

If you change your worgen to have a tail through a questline, that’s still changing it.

I’m personally a fan of the scenario idea, be it one tied to Goldrin in some way, the further mastering or embracing of being worgen, or what have you, that culminates in the option after completion.

Have you seen the animation outlaws make when they use their “destroy object” click?

They stand straight up, pistol aimed, and they look absolutely amazing.

If anyone hasn’t seen it just google it!

Our werewolves are unfinished or incomplete is more appropriate.

Even more, being something created in the cataclysm, and like many things of this expansion, they came to have something better just almost 10 years after they were created.

Orcs may have better posture because of Thrall.
Elves may have better customization.
Why can’t worgen take advantage and have better cosmetic options?

I emphasize the word options.

I detested Heritage Armor, but I have the option to use it.
I have nothing against who uses it.
They have the option to use. I have the option of not using it.

Neither interferes with how they both have fun in the game or live their characters.

Many people talked about how worgen should be better, be “more fierce”, but never said how it would be done.

For me, Blizzard has already thrown lore away.
The worgen lore is not perfect or does not need corrections in details that are still left today and nobody cares to explain.

How do we restore numbers our population?
After all, according to the lore, Goldrinn’s blessing / curse is not hereditary, which means that in 2 or 3 generations, there will be no more Gilneans who can become worgen.

So how do we go about keeping the race alive? Biting people around?

After all, our Heritage Armor quest was very clear in saying that it is not right to be a worgen or to look for ways to be a member of that race.

So, we must seize the moment and ask for something that improves the aesthetics and lore of the worgen.

That’s an opinion. Worgen were completed shortly after cataclysm, when a full length novel and six comics were payed for to flesh out the race.

Try again, worgen were created for initial release in 2004, and were created intentionally with four fingers and four appendages. Sixteen years and three different models have gone by, and Blizzard has thankfully stuck to their guns when it comes to their creation.

Which numbers? Bloodfang and Nightbane worgen keep their numbers up by biting people, willing and otherwise. Greymane worgen offer the curse as well, when it comes to Crowley in the Silverpine questline, but not when it comes to his daughter. Greymane worgen might die out if they still consider it a curse, but Greymane worgen are not the only worgen out there.

The playable models are by Gilneas.
Are you suggesting that Gilneas and its population will be forgotten about the game and gradually replaced by worms other than Gilneas?

Let’s remember that after our heritage Armor, it was defined that being a worgen is not something desirable.

Our lore needs to be improved and corrected.
Updated and gain more details, that fill existing gaps.

Give Worgen Tails

i’d wag mine to the moon and back!

You speak of generations for the worgen to die out. How many generations do you believe the game will go on for? Genn Greymane is already well over seventy, and is only feeling younger thanks to the worgen curse, noted in Wolfheart. Wolfheart also notes that there are younger worgen among his followers. Generations would take hundreds of years. Do you expect a hundred year time skip? And if so, what is to say the Wolf Cult - which is responsible for the playable worgen to begin with - would not attack and spread the curse in a new pandemic?

That would be fun. Then, I could grab them!

It would be funny if Blizzard gave Worgens a new joke that was about the tail.

Yes!

It’s so regal for a split second, I haven’t finished some quests so I can keep seeing it.

What’s the difference between Skyrim’s werewolves and Worgens in wow ?? Can they be called same ??

Nope never seen it what so ever… (Jokes aside I love that they use a pistol to blow things up… Now if they would just get rid of the RNG in Roll the Bones… But thats a topic for another thread.)
