Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

I think they’re a tad over-exaggerated in the males side, I think they tried too hard to make it look “savage”.

They could just replace it with the hearthstone casting animation instead of the waving arms, the extended “fling” affect at the end isn’t terrible and can stay the same.

Overall I think the female worgen have the better model/animations.

Except for male fist-weapon animations. They’re the only ones who actually “claw” with their claw weapons.

Yeah, there is actually a model in Shadowlands with one of the Revendreth mobs that use a worgen skeleton and it’s upright. I think it was some gargoyle or something, i don’t recall. Either way, it’s def worgen male skelly.

I’m trying to think of all the spooky monsters I’ve seen in Revendreth. I’ll have to go back tomorrow and check it out. It’s probably a look at what’s to come!

Found it

And look, it has a tail…

Don’t forget the new small world board game based off WoW that shows a Worgen with a tail. The original concept art that had a tail and while I have to find it one of the Worgen cards for the old Warcraft card game also showed one of the Worgen with a tail. I know I got it somewhere. (I miss my old Worgen deck)

Also I would love to see Worgen the correct Lore size of 8 feet tall as well. We know 8 foot player models work ingame just look at Tauren and Zandi trolls. If you look at that picture of Greymane part of the imposing look is the fact his Worgen form is so much larger than his human form. Right now Worgen are hardly taller than any other race in the alliance and it really is odd why.

Give worgen tails

Same, I am sure they are aware. I am also confident that their worgen design was a conscious decision. And I support them for it!

Raedolf this is a chance to get Worgen looking the way people would like as an optional choice. If you want to stay purest Worgen you can stay current look, with it being optional. 98% of the posters in this thread want the choice of an optional tail that way we can be the ones who decide if we want our model with a tail.

Nightrun, making a tailed worgen is a change. This is how worgen are, and making it otherwise would be altering them or the curse. Especially if one were to suddenly claim some worgen are tailed, that is not only a change to the fundamentals of the race, but also a retcon.

Every animal with Digitigrade limbs has a tail in nature.
Every race in WoW with Digitigrade limbs has a tail…except Worgen.

Worgen not having a tail is not realistic for our world or Azeroth.
Give Worgen tails.

Good point! Worgen are the odd one out by desgin. They are unlike anything native to Azeroth… it’s almost like they’re an aberration, or a lycanthrope, not just an anthropomorph.

There was a Mr. GM video showing some potential for that:

Dude, the change would not affect you in anyway. It would be a customization option that you can chose not to have. I could go on and on about all the reasons they could and should have tails, but it all really comes down to giving them would be a non-issues other then petty preferences. I am sorry but I look at that on par with the people complaining about the new skin tones Elves will have.

Many do, which is why I addressed that the topics are different in post 1374.

Its a video game, people play video games to be happy, giving tails would make people more happy then not. There is something to be said about someone who is happy because someone else does not have something that does not affect them.

Likewise, there is something to be said for someone who wants an artist or author to change their decisions to satisfy someone else’s wants. The gimmies or firstworldproblems may be applicable. These are worgen, not garou, lycans, rougarou, wolves, skinchangers, or anthropomorphs. See Our werewolves are different.

If you wish to roleplay your worgen with a mutation attributed to their unique backstory, you are certainly welcomed to do so, much like there is a male orc with a female voice, a night elf with bear feet, a lightforged human, and other unique aspects attributed to character backstories. Do that with your character, with any of the possibilities listed in post 1374, and do not mess with models.

No ones saying to change anything, they are expanding upon what’s already there. Worgen with no tails would still be a thing just like Pandaren with out tails.

#NothingWouldChange

What lore would you prefer to be added to explain it?

What would it matter? You dont care, you just dont want it added.

My post on the subject covers several possibilities on how it could be added to the lore and explained, and that if it is explained - like the Night Warrior scenario - then it is acceptable. Tailled worgen can certainly be added, if they are added. So which possible lore scenario is your favorite possible explanation?
