Yeah by definition I too fall into the category of being a furry. I mean, my nickname is Wolfie and have been known as Wolfie irl among my friends for almost two decades (I am old x_x)
The surge in furry hatred though with how society is these days… While I don’t necessarily get angry, it does annoy me at times because 95% of comments about furries are highly ignorant and misinformed.
Personally, I hate the uwu speech, can’t stand it. Drives me nuts. I am a furry because I love anthro/werewolf art, stories, and role playing as them in WoW. Too many people think of the NSFW part and think that furries would have relations with actual animals. There are of course the very vocal minority of the fandom that makes the stigma even worse but sadly I cannot discuss that here. Nothing against those people and their life choices, I just wish they would stop imposing it onto other people.
Alas, the worgen we have are a huge improvement of what we got and had to suffer with for over 10 years. The thing about all this is, all the other races are getting all these new features. Now, while I am trying NOT to be impatient, all we got is a few more skin colors and eyes colors, nothing else that’s fancy. A tail option, would help close the gap on the discrepancies.
But finally, this all just comes down to player options and what people want. Furries and non furries alike have always said worgen would look better with tails. Others are very much so entitled to disagree. Though to be rude and not show criticism in the argument while also not acknowledging the facts given… it’s frustrating. Especially if it does happen, it won’t even have any effect on them in the long run so they are just against others being happy.
If was to have a fursona, it would a kitsune. To clarify, the mythological kitsune. Art of her one bearing 5 tails.
That said I’m getting on a tangent, sorry about that. Tails look good on canines and vulpines. I like my tail, I’d like worgens even more if they had tails. Give worgen tails.
No worries. It is frustrating. I mean honestly, I would deem it fate’s biggest irony if anthros ended up being the next step in evolution for sentient species.
Sorry I can’t offer more comfort, but here’s a foxy hug and another tea.
Pot calling the kettle?
you can’t even look past the fact someone dislikes furries to actually even read their point. like a dog with a bone (pun intended)
Yeah, I know I am a furry but I kind of try to distance because of the damn uwu speech and the uh other stuff. I’d never wear a fursuit either. I just like the art and rp’ing darn it!
Eh, I never really understood the whole uwu speech. I don’t judge others for it, just not my thing.
As for fursuiting, I don’t have that much disposable income, but if I did, I’d probably only do it for like conventions since I view fursuiting in the same vein as cosplaying.
And I’ve respectully replied to you several times. You’re one of the few who hasn’t actually been agressive and simply stated you’re own opinions which I can respect.
Infact my previous coment higher up was directly aimed at you and I didn’t see you respond to it.
I did go outside a bit to relax in the pool so there is that lol.
Okay, let me ask you this.
In lieu of a tail, what can Blizzard do to give worgen players more customization options?
Several races are getting jewelry. Humans are hitting the lotto with their customization options through MANY new faces (more than worgen mind you), face shape, hairstyles, etc. Blood Elves again are getting body jewelry, more hairstyles, dark skin tones. Gnomes and dwarves are also getting a -ton- more customization options.
Araaen, you’re really testing my patience with you. There is not pot calling the kettle. I did read your points, and they were all flawed. In fact the only reason you’re even against tails is because ‘ew furries’.
This is the last time I’m going to explain this to you. You’ve and Fluffy both have posted no reason beyond troll reasons that were debunked by over a half dozen people so far why they couldn’t have tails. Don’t reply to me again, I will not be responding to you after this point.
Torn ears, more agressive monsterous looking faces, body scars (worgen are suposed to be very durable and able to survive things human’s cant)
And heres a big one for you, individual customisation to both human AND worgen form, so you can pick both without hair being tied to mane etc. Which would also open up the option for some amazing human form choices like glowing yellow eyes as a human, or being a human with fangs and claws. Things that make them very slight not quite human.
And you’ve given no reasons beyond " I’m a furry and I like tails", and outright ignored every point I’ve made by just strawman-ing all of my points into “OMG FURRY HATER”
you don’t get to say anyone is ‘too far up their own butt’ when thats all you’ve showen to be. Hence, pot calling the kettle.
The ability to stay in human form is not exactly a customization feature. What we are discussing here is purely a tail aesthetic on worgen. I understand this is a very common request but this is something I don’t think Blizz will ever implement sad to say.
Torn clothes… some people might like, others may not. I wouldn’t mind having a transmog set around that concept but that again falls into the category of not exactly being a customization option for worgen players.
Same with the third point on hiding weapons (I personally would LOVE THIS for melee classes and in fact, I have that in my video I had made prior to 8.2.5 launch)>
I know Blizzard is not done so we don’t know what else is actually in store. I would hope for more ear options (especially those that don’t look like a bat)
Body scars I agree on. Faces, well, I don’t think they are going to do much with them other than just different markings like we have seen. but we don’t know.
Separate human and worgen customization is a BIG thing for me too and I actually am hearing Blizzard are intending to do this. No confirmation. But this is also kind of a slap in the face to players who don’t RP and just stay in worgen form. RPers are a vast minority in this game so being able to fully customize their human really doesn’t affect them whatsoever. If it does come, I really hope they allow gold eyes for humans… I am a sucker for them.
So with all this debunked, we still have a huge lack of what Blizzard can give worgen compared to other races. Even if they did add everything you wanted, what is the harm in a tail? Hmm?
You clearly never played a Worgen or listened to the story. They are not a snarling monster all the time. Blizzard down plays their own race by having Worgen be a much smaller than they are in lore. But there is no lore that says Worgen can’t have tails. Lore don’t matter any more as Blizzard just changes it so players can have options. But you come in there saying people who want tails are Furries. That is not true. Players want an optional tail to have more of a unique look. Not everyone will choose to use it. Worgen players would love to see more options. We would love to see a lore friendly size part of the issue with Worgen is they are 6 feet 10 inches when they should be 8 feet tall. Something that big is far more imposing. We also want options like the ability to hide melee weapons so we can use our claws for attacks like the NPCs do. Read the lore the claws on a Worgen are vicious weapons but we are forced to hold normal everyday weapons. Thats all we want is options to make our Worgen look better. If you think that is because people want to be a furry then you are wrong. Some maybe but not everyone and not everyone who is a furry is some perverted person just out for a fetish. That is all I have to say on the issue to you.
The goal of this thread is to change that mindset to allow options. Read the room.
Let me translate because you’re not catching the hint.
We’re tired of the unfair standard of having to justify a character race that appeals visually to us when fans of other races don’t have to. We all know why BE is the most popular Horde race, and it sure as hell isn’t the racials. Yet no one bothers BE players outside of grumbling. A single Vulpera shows up however, and everyone loses their minds.
A tail option doesn’t end the world, nor even violate lore, because as Void Elves proved, new lore can happen. It’s as easy as writing a line of dialogue. Quite honestly, it’s exhausting and nonsense that we have to defend our choices to a degree no one else has to. Why are animal races relentlessly shunted into nomadic lifestyles or wild personas. Why can’t you just have a well-adjusted and cosmopolitan animal-person without the entire planet erupting into upheaval.
These are options that serious RPers can choose to ignore or mitigate however they like. The additional option will bring more people to Worgen, a race that could absolutely use more members. It hurts literally zero. Even better, make it a questline, like ARs are. Level 10 or 15, you can go on a quest to ultimately unlock your tail option. If you don’t want it, ignore it.
