They also said core races were going first, so the nightborne argument doesn’t hold all that much water.
And before you say ‘but void elves!’ do remember those were almost literally just a copy-paste from Blood Elves to make happen.

People tend to forget Worgen are a core race in wow due to 10 years of neglect. When every other core race in the game including goblins got a racial rework Worgen are the only race in the game who never got any changes. The Worgen player base has suffered 10 years of being ignored then they finally updated the Worgen look and got rid of the abomination model. You honestly have seen more people playing Worgen now due to the model changes. However we Worgen are still limited in out options as we got “taxed” for being able to customize our human form. Normally I would be fine with that but there is 0 unique customization options that set Gilnean humans apart from Stormwind humans. There is an entire waltz dance humans can do but instead of giving Worgen something to let people know they aren’t Stormwind humans they do the same dance. Honestly its just lazy on Blizzards part.

Agreed. I think us Worgen deserve tails…that, and fix the posture so we don’t look hunched over like gorillas.
Sadly, I don’t think this will happen, though. It’s all about maximizing profits and minimizing overhead into programming, rendering, etc.

A tail would fix our hunched over look big time. Look at how forward we are when in motion. A tail would balance it out BIG TIME.

Vulperas were something that was put in a lot of work and used the best update tools available.
At the time of the Cataclysm, the worgen model was quickly reworked and came out with the tragic shape that ruined it for 10 years.
And just when the Alpha model promised so many things like hairstyles.
The original vulpera model was supposed to be like Captain Eudora without a tail, but Blizzard added that extra and the result was even more adorable.
Blizzard has ways of doing the same thing with worgen, just like it did with Saberons that use the same skeleton as worgen.

9.1 patch notes.
Players have been asking for tail customizations and nightborne customizations repeatedly for multiple years.
We are quite excited to answer both requests at once and are pleased to announce we will be adding 35 tail customizations to Nightborne characters in patch 9.1

You forgot the best part where Worgen players can hunt down said Nightborne players and kill them to take the tail for their own. This also causes the account of said Nightborne player to be deleted and they have to buy the game again. There was some note about having to buy the expansions one at a time and at full price but that was in small print so its probably not important.

Really the problem is the stand animation. The movement ones they look fine. There is a difference between crouched and hunched.

Seems like it wouldn’t be too hard to fix either.
The draenei, Kil’jaeden, Stoneborn, and Dreadlords/DH demon forms, all seem to share a development path. Adjusting the standing animation or adapting one of those would a work pretty well. I wouldn’t mind one bit seeing a more upright heroic pose for the worgen.
Tails would also be a great option.

It wouldn’t but this is blizzard, who is scrambling to fix borrowed power systems that will be obsolete with the end of an expansion, instead of making features people actually care about and won’t go obsolete in the same way.
